  1. Nice to see ANOTHER solid performance by Marshall as well as a clutch hit by Fontenot! Twas a good day. 8-)
  2. I hate you Brewers and Cardinals.
  3. curses and throws laptop across the room ???? Logic hurts. Look, the bullpen did its job and did it great for 5 full freakin' innings last night while our offense decided it was too far past their bedtime and fell asleep. The 'pen has looked like hot garbage plenty of times this year, Ohman especially, but last night wasn't one of those times. This one is all on our lack of offense with prime scoring chances yet again. I agree. I don't blame the game on Ohman at all. I blame it on a lack of runs given great opportunities and a crappy relay throw/catch.
  4. Hey OMC: go back to your girls of ole miss sigs and I'll vote for you. I don't remember them (must have been from before my time). You have to actually change the sig tho first. No empty promises.
  5. This one is actualy reasonably close.
  6. That's like telling a torturer to kill people nicely.
  7. Wolf should have ran and flaunted that avatar.
  8. abuck can be mean, but that's his way, damnit. he's not mean, he's truthful and honest! This reminds me of when someone describes themselves as a person who "tells it like it is." Yay Frank in Everybody Loves Raymond!
  9. abuck can be mean, but that's his way, damnit. he's not mean, he's truthful and honest! speaking of a pile of crap. so all wood and prior were was hype and hope, huh? those two did more for this organization "on the field" than hill, theriot, pie, fontenot, marshall and guzman added together times 10. two good weeks out of pie is "producing for the cubs on the field," yet wood's 165 innings in 1998, 170 innings in 2001, 200+ innings in 2002, 200+ dominant innings in 2003, his postseason performance in 2003, and 140 innings of 122 era+ in 2004 were all hype and hope? and fontenot's 20 good ab's is "producing for the cubs on the field," but prior's 120 dominant innings at age 21, one of the greatest seasons ever by a cub pitcher in 2003, and two above average injury shortened seasons in 2004 and 2005 were all hype and hope? what a stupid, stupid post. have a little perspective. it's crap like this that makes me hate a lot of my fellow cub fans. Like I said, he made a good point. But it wasn't in the kindest of ways.
  10. Anyone else want to try and convince me one way or the other?
  11. curses and throws laptop across the room ????
  12. abuck can be mean, but that's his way, damnit. Fine by me. I just won't vote for him. 8-)
  13. I like him more than Eyre. Plus, he wasn't used as a loogy last night. Then again, there was no choice. On another note, why was Eyre warming up before Weurtz? Was Weurtz unavailable?
  14. I can't sort it by the number of outs, but here is a quick summary of how the team has performed with the bases loaded. Theriot has had the most opportunities-14. He is 1 for 14 with 1 BB and 4 RBI's. DeRosa has had 12 chances. He is 4 for 12 with 1 HR, 3 BB's, and 13 RBI's. Jones has had 12 chances. He is 3 for 12 with 1 3B, and 6 RBI's Lee is 2 for 9 with 1 HR, 1 2B, and 7 RBI's. Ramirez is 1 for 9 with 1 HR and 5 RBI's. Izturis is 1 for 7 with 1 RBI Nobody else has any more than 3 AB's with the bases loaded, and nobody else has a hit or a walk in that situation. The Cubs team has a .203/.284/.407 line with the bases loaded (59 AB's). I'm surprised it's over .200
  15. that's like calling someone a classy serial killer. It doesn't change what they are It does if he doesn't kill me. :D
  16. My vote's still for sale. One of you two wow me.
  17. The hockey fan wins out. +1 for Flames.
  18. I voted for hardcorecubfan because the last abuck post I read ripped on a fan that was being optimistic. Abuck made a very good point, but I didn't appreciate the disrespectful, blatant insult to another poster.
  19. I voted for Cards Fan because unlike a lot of cards fans that I know, he is a real classy cards fan.
  20. You need to make up 5 votes.
