They led 2-0 in the 6th and lost by a run, I'd be more surprised if they didn't feel that one got away. That said, the Nationals as a franchise are getting really good at coulda, woulda, shoulda-ing against the Cubs, going back to the 4 gamer in 2016 when they blew a lead in like every game, and of course last year. I dunno...if it was 2-0 in the 8th, ok...I get it. But 3 against the team with the best record in the NL is lot of time to think "oh we got this". But I admit, it's a dumb quibble.
