The Broncos were a decent team with a horrible QB. They needed to move on and develop a real QB, but that couldn't happen with the neanderthals demanding more Tebow. They play in the worst division in football and can easily dominate it next year with quality QB play. Manning gives them that chance. It's the easiest road to the playoffs for Peyton. If he can't hack it and falls apart quickly, then it wouldn't have worked for anybody, so you aren't making much of a point. This way, they can draft somebody this year and hope to get 2 years out of Manning. Plus, they can play a real offense and develop the other 10 players in the unit instead of dumbing it down to junior high level stuff that is centered around a one dimensional hack. That explains why they were so good with Kyle Orton. Kyle Orton isn't a quality QB. Whether he is or he isn't, they were near the top of the league in passing yards per game when he was QB.
