  1. Zach Bowman to the Vikings.
  2. I like how he drew a technical. Ha....missed that.
  3. Knox to start season on PUP list, and may miss 2012 season.
  4. http://www.nba.com/games/20120325/PHISAS/gameinfo.html?ls=gt2hp0021100723#nbaGIboxscore Check out Tim Duncan's "line".
  5. Do we have to wait for a few more losses before we can slow down the Knicks bandwagon (again)? Or is it ok to stop that crap now?
  6. Denver sure loves ex-Bears QB's
  7. I wonder if the Bears knew he was gonna retire and that's why they signed Bush? Or if they signed Bush and he decided to retire? He always had nagging injuries. Wonder if he had something chronic that was getting worse.
  8. Can he get it though? Some of us think trading Forte is a good idea to get value for him while not having to pay the amount of money we'd have to pay to keep him, at a position that isn't all that tough to fill. Some of us are able to see that Barber actually had a pretty good season with the exception of those two plays. Obviously bonehead plays, but lets not pretend he was a total dud.
  9. Jeff Saturday to the Packers.
  10. They are completely unwarrented and unjustified. The Bears drafted Matt Forte and signed him to a rookie contract. They have also signed free agents to help carry the load in part so that Forte wouldn't be running the ball 300 times a year. They would be negligent if they didn't bring in free agents. The Bears are in the middle of an offseason where they are trying to significantly add to the offense. They are in the middle of free agency season and guys are coming off the board everyday. What Forte seems to be suggesting is that the Bears shouldn't address needs and shouldn't sign free agents until they come to an agreement on his contract first. They should put their pursuits of free agents on hold because he is more important. They should agree to his demands today, four months before the deadline to sign him to an extension, rather than try and improve the team. They could draft a RB. Bring in UDFAs. Hell, I don't see what was wrong with Khalil Bell? Why can't he be a #2? And Marion Barber is still on the roster. He did a fine job last year other than 2 plays. I really think they'll trade Forte at this point, because like you said...Bell and Barber actually were fine last year, with Barber's 2 play exception. I think the Bears just flat out don't want to pay premium RB price.
  11. And I don't begrudge him for holding out if that's what he wants to do. It's his right, and part of the NFL negotiation process, like it or not. My problem at this point is that he's acting like he's being wronged by having a 2nd competent RB. Ridiculous.
  12. His agent regurgitated the same spiel though.
  13. Corey Graham will sign with the Ravens.
  14. Wallace has said he wants more money than Fitzgerald. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/22/report-mike-wallace-told-49ers-he-wants-more-than-larry-fitzgerald/
  15. But Forte is "only" gonna make double the amount that Bush will? How's a man supposed to live like that?
  16. Maybe we should let him seek a trade....to feel out what other teams will give him. See if he has a change of heart after he hears other offers?
  17. The RB market is so low that we just signed the top FA at that position for $3.5m per year. Bears don't really have anything to lose by just playing hardball with Forte.
  18. Plus $250,000 on Barber if he's cut. And we still have a $1million cap hit on Taylor. And then of course we have Khalil Bell also. So we're going to have 5 running backs taking a piece of the salary cap this year.
  19. Seattle signs Frank Omiyale. Enjoy!
  20. I have no doubt they'll get there. The only tough games left are @ATL, @OKC, vs MIA, @MIA, vs DAL, @IND. I'm looking forward to the OKC game. I hope we can at least have Rose healthy by then, if not Rip.
  21. Wow, wouldn't have pegged him to be the lone person affiliated with the Saints to have some integrity. He probably did it more as an "I'll show them" gesture than some sense of moral responsibility. If that helps you out any.
  22. You don't let him in the building or let him make any moves, or have any conversations with personel. So does he get to work between now and the opening game? I doubt it. The NFL operating season "started" with free agency didn't it? Does a player that suspending for the first few games of the season get to participate in OTA's and training camp? I honestly don't know.
