  1. I wonder if it has a signing bonus or something to get him more money now.
  2. Don Banks has the Bears taking Mercilus.

  4. LOL. You sure love to ride my nuts after every post... Every post you make is pretty nut-ridable...or something.... You know what nevermind.
  5. Did I miss the part where Derrick collapsed and had to be helped off the court?
  6. Yeah, and this is just a twisted ankle. I don't think it's really a major concern.
  7. Rose didn't participate in the shootaround today, and is likely to sit tonight.
  8. If you expected something different from Thibs, that's really kinda your fault.
  9. It's hard to tell exactly what happened, but there's reports of a brawl at a disco, an all night police chase, and assaulting a police officer. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/10/vladimir-guerrero-arrested-dominican-police-report_n_1414598.html
  10. In a weird way, it almost seems like firing him would make more sense than suspending. By firing him, they're saying, "We don't want to be associated with this guy," which kind of makes sense from the standpoint of not alienating a large portion of their fanbase. It's not so much a punishment as it is detaching themselves from him. Suspending him is just weird. They're punishing him for saying something but he's still there and his presence is still going to piss off most of those same people. I don't think the suspension really placates anyone, either. That's not to say I think a firing would be justified (nor did I expect it), but the suspension just feels kind of weird. Remember though, they didn't just sign Ozzie. They traded for him. They gotta get something out of that.
  11. I'm glad you said that because I was thinking the same thing. I was wondering if he spent a season as one of the scoreboard guys that would fill in for Pat during the fifth inning or something like that, but can't find anything on the Google to confirm or deny. But judging from his bio here (dating back to 2010) he's been working constantly in not-Chicago-land since he retired from playing. Maybe someone at WGN had a similar name a few years back? I figure I must just be thinking of Dewayne Staats.
  12. Every time Rose gets injured, he manages to finish the game and we find out about the injury on the off day. I wonder when he tweaked the ankle and how long he played on it, and how much extra pain he might be in because of that?
  13. Nice. Did you follow someone or stay in one spot?
  14. Knox is hurt. You have Marshall, Bennett....and who? Hester can probably play just fine as a WR if he's not expected to be a #1.
  15. Which days?
  16. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/chi-bears-may-relieve-hester-of-kickreturn-duties-20120409,0,4478749.story He's not a wide receiver, why can't they realize that? It's not punt returns, settle down. Since they moved kickoffs back, it's not like there's even a lot of great opportunities on kick returns. And we had Manning/Knox doing a fair number of kickoff returns anyway. This isn't a big deal, imo. If they ever take him off punt return duties at some point, then it's a different story.
  17. deal with it or give Tim a donation. You think it's free to run a site? Ohhhhhh snap. It was a two month wait for it, but the burn was totally worth the build up.
  18. Why does my brain insist that Duane Kuiper has some tie to the Cubs somehow?
  19. It seems like the new book on Rose is to try to steal the ball as he's making his drive down the lane, or trying to curl around a defender. It started to look like a replay it happened so much.

  21. And not that it means a ton for the Bulls but OKC lost their 3rd straight. Haven't won since beating the Bulls.
  22. LOL@ thinking Barkley is worth listening to. That's not the point. And neither are Magic or Broussard. The point is that the media doesn't hate the Bulls and think they have no shot against Miami, which is what you said everyone says. But see, he can just dismiss everybody who does like the Bulls as crappy analysts. It's a fool proof plan. Not true. I'd rather put stock in Jon Barry who's pulling for Chicago as opposed to Barkley. At any rate, the clear majority of analysts and professionals are picking the Heat to win. Hopefully the Bulls win out and make it to the Finals, but if not it's going to be funny when you guys start to become logical with this team and pretend like you knew all along they wouldn't have much of a chance. I'll eat crow no problem if I'm wrong. Oh now they don't have much of a chance? It was NO chance before. You're coming around! You might even be a Bulls fan by the time the ECF rolls around.
  23. Speculation is that he didn't want to go to LA cuz either a) He didn't like that Kobe told him he'd be the 3rd option in the offense or b) he didn't want to follow in Shaq's footsteps and go from Orlando to LA. My personal belief in why he doesn't wanna come to Chicago is because of Thibs. If Dwight didn't like SVG, he's not gonna like Thibs. NJ is offering him power. He thinks he can basically be the most powerful guy there, and be in a huge market to boot.
