  1. It's one thing to be wrong. But that didn't even make sense. (At least, what I read before giving up.)
  2. Rome is a moron. How did he think Stern would react to that question?
  3. I love it.
  4. A couple of things from Bears minicamp from Brad Biggs: Devin Thomas and Kellen Davis both looked slow. Mike Tice spent over an hour of the 2.5 hour practice with the offensive line. posting.php?mode=reply&f=44&t=60479
  5. Actually at the end of the article they indicate the new facility may end up keeping the Berto Center name. They say where? Nope. I think they're gonna build the place. This is about as detailed as it gets... http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/breaking/chi-bulls-berto-center-move-20120613,0,3023978.story
  6. Not to mention the Chicago media loves themselves a successful middle linebacker.
  7. So long Berto Center. Actually at the end of the article they indicate the new facility may end up keeping the Berto Center name.
  8. Nailed it!
  9. Yeah, he was never any miracle worker or anything.
  10. The stuff about Scottie and MJ fighting to see who got to guard Kukoc is great stuff. Really fun article.
  11. I wish I'd gotten to see Larry play more. By the time I was interested in the NBA, he was done.
  12. Not the endorsement I'd have picked, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.... He went on to note how these days pitchers throw stuff that has all kinds of crazy late movement that is often invisible from an umpire’s point of view, adding “They can’t see it. They’re humans. We’re asking humans to do a feat that a human can’t do.” http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/06/12/bobby-valentine-would-welcome-automated-ball-and-strike-calls/

  14. lol Mets. This is sarcasm, right? Why would it be sarcasm? I don't want to live in a world where I can't laugh at the Mets money management. And no, it's not sarcasm. The Mets are paying Bonilla through 2035 (and Saberhagen through 2029). They structured their contracts that way so they could afford to sign Mike Hampton to his ridiculous contract in 1999 (and later pay him to play decently for other teams). Right...was that what he thought was sarcasm? I misunderstood then.
  15. Reggie admits he used to use that move to get fouls. Big whoop. Lots of players used to get generous foul calls, and still do. Michael Jordan was most definitely one of them. Not sure why the conversation has gone on this long.

  17. Saw this on HardballTalk's comments, and couldn't resist reposting it here:
  18. So does knowing that the original call was wrong ruin the excitement for you? I lol'd.
  19. Wasn't Pie on Lansing? Dude... you're totally right. Haha But I was in Peoria in '05 when they came back there. Now that I'm thinking about it, who the heck did I see there that made me go watch a game??? Anyway... I need to go so to see Baez/Soler/etc... Kerry Wood pitched a rehab game there that was big news at the time as I recall.

  21. I don't know what the big deal is since we signed him back in like February, right? :)
