My wife doesn't follow football nearly as much as I do, and she was asking me earlier in the evening yesterday how many black QB's there were in the league now. I started naming some, but I actually wasn't even sure if Freeman was still QB in TB for sure until the game started.

Well that's fine. I've not been to a Cubs game in a few years, and I haven't bought any new Cubs merchandise in about the same time frame. I watched very little Cubs this year, but I, like most others, will be right there front and center when things pick back up. I guess it depends on what "Cubs fans won't put up with another crappy year of baseball" means. Of course there's going to be some apathy/disinterest.

Pretty amazing what a good game on ESPN will do. You could make the argument he hasn't even been the best CB on the team this year. Not to belittle what Jennings has done, but he's looked really good too because teams don't throw to the man Tillman is covering.

yes they will. the ones who leave will come crawling back once they get good. Yep. Everyone wants to be one of the ones that stuck with them during the bad times only to be there when they finally win. They may not buy as many tickets, or watch as many games, but I'd guess very few of them are suddenly becoming Sox or Brewers fans or something.

I'm having an amazingly awful year. Still winless thanks to injury and being far and away the most scored upon team in the league. But I've turned it into a pride thing. If keep trying to win, and still go winless, there's some kind of accomplishment in that, right? Ok maybe not... Anyway... I know I'm using my flex spot for a WR, but I have 4 WR's choices. Calvin Johnson, Miles Austin, Hakeem Nicks, James Jones. I'm leaning toward benching Nicks...he's been by far the worst of the 4 on the season.

That whole show is quite funny. Jay loves to really get after Silverman. I really try to catch that show when I remember.

He was the one largely responsible for a lot of that thought. He wasn't just doping himself, but set up a whole system for cheating throughout the sport. So ultimately, he damaged the sport in a much more significant way than just doping himself. -
I disagree with the way tice called the game, instead of pouring it on a blowing the lions out, we stalled and played chicken [expletive] Well Jay was hurt for the entire 2nd half, so that was part of it. I don't think it's a really fair game to judge him from.

Cora is gone with him. Apparently they didn't like that Guillen had delegated lineup responsibilities to Cora. They still owe Guillen $7.5mil over 3 years.
