  1. Hey, they have us with a 10-win pitcher. So there's that. No starter under 4.00 ERA though.
  2. Reddit/twitter/facebook fail.
  3. I watched most of it as well. Nice win. Looking forward to the game on Friday.
  4. I agree, I'm ok with McCown as backup.
  5. Yeah, it's BS. Sorry.
  6. Ok, someone on reddit says that ESPN is reporting that Rose will play tomorrow night against the Heat. Looking for confirmation. EDIT: Not seeing any confirmation from anyone worth a damn. Probably bogus.
  7. Yeah, I started feeling that way last year, and moreso this year.
  8. He better send Captain Munnerlyn a fruit basket.
  9. We have like one of those. Every post I draw out of TT is my gift, personally, to you. Pffft. I beat him in overtime. Just sayin. :-)

  11. That game was painfully dull and sloppy. Really shouldn't have been scheduled. Yeah? I saw pics of soccer in the snow and thought it looked entertaining.
  12. Damn, I need to poke my head in this thread more often. That game looks like it was a ton of fun to watch.
  13. Coach Q: "Hopefully by the weekend (Hossa) will be playing,” Quenneville said. “Hossa hasn’t been on the ice the last couple of days but he’s progressing."
  14. I just think that Trestman is going to want to focus on offense with that first rounder. If they can get a speedy guy like Austin, they can get rid of Hester, and let Austin take that WR spot, along with KR/PR duties.
  15. Absolutely. Angelo solidified things with free agents in the mid-2000s, but that does not last. Emery already went through one draft ignoring the line, if he does it again this year then next season we'll be right back into the "pretty much forced to take a lineman in the first two rounds situation and then wind up overdrafting somebody" situation that Angelo found himself. Emery has understandably had to patch with free agency on the OL this season, but yeah...they need an OL in the first 2 rounds. After the two LB signings, I'm now guessing they go OL-WR-DL-OL-CB. I also suspect that Hester will traded for a 5 or 6 in 2014. I could see the first two being switched if Austin is there in the first, and then go with Barrett Jones in the 2nd.

  17. I didnt realize it was a double minor...why?
  18. Who had Frolik with the first goal?
  19. Sergio Garcia http://i.imgur.com/VynTU7H.gif http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/03/25/sergio-garcia-tree-shot_n_2946935.html
  20. I wonder if Theo plans on being out of here by the time the Cubs might win the World Series because of his machinations. There was that rumor that he wants to wait out the ownership there for a few years and go back to Boston after they sell, which they are rumored to want to do. (Rumor upon rumor, I know). [expletive] Kyle Says
  21. Sure there is. The Marlins and Braves both had a goal of winning a WS in the 90s. They had different plans for doing so. Both were effective. You can argue which was more effective or which is more likely to be effective, I suppose. I know which I prefer for the Cubs. I've already seen the Cubs try to implement the 1990s' Braves plan. I was hoping for the 2000s Red Sox plan (we're going to build an awesome farm system and almost outspend the Yankees at the same time because we can). The Red Sox already had the farm system in place by the time Theo came around though. The Cubs didn't. It wasn't like Theo showed up, snapped his fingers, and suddenly the Red Sox had a good farm system and strong major league talent.
  22. 5 days wasn't enough. Hossa is out tonight.
  23. You know what I've noticed? Nobody panics when things go "according to plan." Even if the plan is horrifying! The plan is to win the World Series, just not on Kyle's schedule. Truly horrifying.
  24. Intentionally breaching the contract - if blocking the views does that - is the potentially unsavory part. I'm making no judgment either way - it's a frequent business practice. I just wanted to make sure and note that it's not everyone's cup of tea. I get what you're saying, but it's a contract that the previous ownership signed. I think that makes it a bit more palatable. But I'm not unbiased.
  25. It's gonna be really cool when I win this.... http://www.chicagobears.com/fan-zone/ultimate_draft.html
