Over the top means a player that gets them a championship. Nate doesn't do that. If the player or deal comes along that would, I think Reinsdorf would go into luxury tax territory. But he's not spending that to lose to the Heat. Doesn't get them a championship? With Rose and Thibs they already have a shot at the title. The goal every year should be to build the best possible team to contend using every possible resource available. If that means Nate Robinson, or some other player, so be it. Whoa whoa...lets not pretend that the win last night makes the Bulls title contenders. The odds are still hugely against that happening. Even if they beat the Heat in this series...that's a team whose number they've had for some reason. But Indiana beat the Bulls 3 out of 4 this season, and I can't remember the last time the Bulls have had any success against the Thunder. This team has been more than I imagined they could be, but lets not get crazy.
