Ugh...athletes really ought to plan pregnancies a bit better than that...no due dates during the freaking playoffs. Well, in fairness, their free time to get it on is pretty limited and makes for the likelihood of this happening. Yeah I suppose that's true.

If the Bulls beat Miami in this series without Rose and LeBron opts out of his deal (is that this year or next he can do that?), they could be favorites. Add Rose to this team along with the right top-30 player in the league and you have a damn good team. Lebron can opt out after next year. Yeah. Reading comprehension fail on my part.

Over the top means a player that gets them a championship. Nate doesn't do that. If the player or deal comes along that would, I think Reinsdorf would go into luxury tax territory. But he's not spending that to lose to the Heat. Doesn't get them a championship? With Rose and Thibs they already have a shot at the title. The goal every year should be to build the best possible team to contend using every possible resource available. If that means Nate Robinson, or some other player, so be it. Whoa whoa...lets not pretend that the win last night makes the Bulls title contenders. The odds are still hugely against that happening. Even if they beat the Heat in this series...that's a team whose number they've had for some reason. But Indiana beat the Bulls 3 out of 4 this season, and I can't remember the last time the Bulls have had any success against the Thunder. This team has been more than I imagined they could be, but lets not get crazy.

Asik certainly was worth that to the Bulls and every other team in the NBA. We'll see what Robinson gets in free agency but just because he plays the same position as Rose doesn't mean he's worthless. It's not like a) he wouldn't provide depth and bench scoring and b) he wouldn't be able to play alongside Rose for stretches. Honestly, there's no way we'll be able to get Robinson back. KC Johnson said the same this morning on the radio. Unless he's ok with playing for close to the minimum, there's just no way with the way the Bulls salary is structured.

I have no problem with that. Bollig was around the net a lot and the fourth line was pretty good in the first two games, but if you really watch Bollig, he really doesn't bring much to the table. His role on a line with Kruger and Frolik is to hit some guys and forecheck hard. He doesn't really hit anyone, and he's too slow to forecheck. That said, Carcillo doesn't really hit either. He's at least a better skater though. I'm fine with Carcillo on the 4th line. I just don't like when Q gets cute and tries to put him up in some of the top lines.
