  1. Bears sign QB Jordan Palmer.
  2. Still, how is anyone supposed to defend their stance when you aren't specifying who you're talking to? It's not just you, but it's a pet peeve.
  3. Are you trying to say only a few people hate Ryno? If so, they are a very vocal minority. I'm just saying that it's never a good idea to paint the entire board (or large segments of it) with the same brush. Better to argue with specific points that are actually being made. I thought we were using hyperbole.
  4. The way people around here blame everyone around here for things that a couple people do baffles me.
  5. viewtopic.php?f=29&t=62324 viewtopic.php?p=2977881#p2977881
  6. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2012/05/12/2011s-best-performances-guards/ Thanks! Like I needed a reason to be more excited about Kyle Long. Without a doubt the most excited I've ever been about a freaking right guard.
  7. I need a point of comparison to see what a good score for a guard typically is.
  8. Yeah, I only mentioned it originally as an example of Hub being silly. For that to be something he's still harping on after last night's game is just dumb.
  9. What position does he think Long should be playing? He thinks he's on the wrong side because he's left handed and on the right side.
  10. ESPN thought it was a pick worthy of it's own column. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/9572750/who-real-jay-cutler
  11. Hub on The Score now. He's minimizing what Long did, thinks Long is still playing the wrong position, and that Mills was as good or better. Said Mills has a better idea of what to do with his hands.
  12. Haha, yes. That will be highly entertaining.
  13. Fair or not, this is true. I follow a lot of the sports radio guys on twitter, and it's funny. Bernstein last night was laughing at the overreactions to a preseason game last night, but then goes on to criticize Cutler for the one int, despite a 98.3 rating. Mully has already called Cutler "Jeff George" this morning on the radio. I know I'm a Cutler apologist, and he wasn't perfect last night, but for a guy in his umpteenth offense, I was happy with what I saw last night. He needs to obviously find some other guys besides Marshall to throw too, but it's hard to know if that's on Cutler, or if it's on the WR's for not getting seperation. I'm thinking it's probably time to put more of that on Cutler at this point...but still hard to tell. The pick was frustrating, and that was all on Jay..no doubt. But he's gonna throw his share of picks. As long as they're in areas of the field that don't hurt too much, I think we just have to accept that.
  14. Blanchard getting his hand xrayed. thats why mccown was back out there.
  15. More like SOFTin, amirite?
  16. Trestman should've challenged on the Bostic play.
  17. If you're only gonna make one play on the night, make it BIG.
  18. Yeah, still the best option till Williams is back.
  19. Lots of criticism on the Long pick. Looks like he'll be the first first-rounder in quite a while that plays to his draft position. I know... it's just one game.
  20. I think we saw more good than bad from the starters tonight. I love Long. Wish I'd heard Bostic's name at all tonight. Loved seeing Cutler talking to Trestman on the sideline.
  21. http://cdn3.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1755125/wIokiM-tHio.gif The gif version was necessary.
  22. Plus he's won two World Series'.
  23. This doesn't make sense to me. Theo had a very successful pre-Cubs career. If Andy MacPhail can find post-Cubs work, surely Theo can. It's not like he's had a lot of past Cubs success to measure up to. Baseball loves to recycle the same guys over and over again. Theo wouldn't be out of baseball unless he wanted to be. If he fails here, it certainly would limit his possibilities. Teams that are rebuilding or have budgetary constraints might think twice about hiring him. No, they wouldn't.
  24. This was not in the "bat boy" job description. http://wapc.mlb.com/play/?topic_id=21753540&content_id=29715217 EDIT: Oops, corrected link.
