Yeah, the national takeaway is probably that the Bears lost the game too. I'm not sure they know. The game was barely talked about in the highlight shows from what I saw.

So apparently the popular takeaway nationally is that Tillman got abused by Green. Seems like the fact that Tillman got two picks on passes intended for Green. Obviously Green beat Tillman on a number of occasions, but Tillman got his licks in.

My 6yo's soccer team got shut out on saturday and I saw the same face on at least three of those kids. "It's not fair!!"

That 4th down conversion, Trestman had Forte run behind the rookie right side. Love it.

Not serious talk. He had an injury and so there was another kicker brought in, but it was mostly local tal show guys hinting that maybe they'd move on from Gould.

What were your expectations for the first game with a new coach, offense and 2 rookie Olineman? Below expectations? Sure. But way below? I expected some struggles at least for the first quarter of the season. Much more pushing the ball downfield. You've got arguable the strongest arm in the league. I wouldnt expect a ton, isn't this more of a west coast offense? Also the Bengals have an elite pass rush, so I wasn't expecting a ton of deep drops and passes downfield I don't care what the hell people want to call this offense. Trestman needs to design an offense that pushes the ball downfield, or he will fail. Kind of like that right there, unfortunately the other team. Thats not what this O is gonna be. Better come to terms with that.

Meh...I don't know that it was all that great. I disagree about Joniak and Thayer. I enjoy hearing them, and would take them over the tv announcers in a heartbeat. Hub is an easy target, and yeah...football fans are meatballs. That's not exclusive to Chicago.
