  2. I like how they say the Packers defense looked better against SF. I understand it's relative but they gave up over 400 yards of passing. Sure they stopped the run but they just gave it up through the air instead. Over 500 yards of offense in both games. Don't quote me numbers, games aren't played on paper. I saw the GB defense play better with my EYES.
  3. Better, but don't you have to put the Eagles above the Redskins at least? http://www.sbnation.com/2013/9/10/4713734/nfl-power-rankings-week-2-49ers-broncos-saints-packers-patriots
  4. You can't get that kind of analysis just anywhere, people. Behind the Saints coming off of 7-9. Behind the Ravens who got their asses kicked. Behind the Eagles because they're shiny and new. Behind the Lions, who the Bears have beaten every non-blue moon MNF game in Detroit in the last decade. Hey. Don't argue with a football authority like Mike Florio.

  7. Kyle Long is apparently doing a segment weekly on Tuesdays on ESPN 1000...Carmen and Jurko. Also, Cutler show from yesterday is up...about 2 hours into the Waddle and Silvy podcast.
  8. Is he trying to figure out how they'll win another game after this debacle? Arkish is 100% better now than when he was on 670 while still employed by the Bears, his years defending Hatley and Jauron were awful to listen to. I shudder to think what he was like to begin with, cuz he's awful now too.
  9. Yeah, just heard the B&B soundbyte, which I assume is why you posted this. That was awful.
  10. Trestman PC now on the Score.
  11. Blame UMFan. sorry, I liked Kyle. Don't get me wrong, I was thrilled to dump his ass to get Jay Cutler, but I enjoyed the 2008 season, however disappointing it was. I busted out Sisqo on youtube when Orton got hurt. The Thong Song?
  12. Hub on The Score now.
  13. Yeah the Bengals used TO's twice in a row pretty much, one right before the 4th and inches play because they only had 10 guys on the field, and I think one right after that because they almost had 12 guys in the huddle. Reflects poorly on their coaching because it pretty much cost them the game. BTW, Mac and Spiegs talking about that last timeout. That came on 1st and 10 at the Bengals 19. Would it have been better to just take the penalty rather than burn the last timeout?
  14. Rey Malauga had a late hit on Jordan Mills following the 3rd down run. Yeah, Mills and Malauga were mixing it up...probably wouldn't have been anything except that Malauga grabbed Mills and threw him to the ground. After that, Cutler smartly came in and pushed Mills away to keep him getting a matching penalty, though it didn't look like Mills was gonna do anything other than talk.

  16. @PFF Falcons OL got beat for pressure on 21 of 42 dropbacks. Worst in league. By comparison Bengals beaten 3 times on 34 passing plays. @PFF Of course it helps that Andy Dalton had an average time to throw of 2.04 seconds. Lowest in the league last year was 2.47 #signaturestats
  17. Hmm, I feel good about Long improving as the season goes on. Didn't notice any glaring mistakes except on that first possession of the game, but I have no ability to evaluate o-lineman except to notice when they f-up. Yeah, I think he got dinged for some early mistakes, and I think it's just tough to make up ground in the grading system as a lineman.
  18. Speaking of being chipper and happy, Cutler was joking around and laughing with guys on the field after the "wasted" timeout in the 4th. I wonder what that was about. Also, apparently Cutler went out of his way to tell Mills and Long how great they did, praised the O-line in the postgame, and Marshall and Maneri were raving about how great Jay was in the huddle and on the sidelines, saying he really was showing great leadership.
  19. ESPN makes mention of Tillman struggling with dehydration.
  20. Other grades: Jordan Mills 3.4 James Anderson 3.1 Kyle Long -1.7

  22. The Bears pass rush showed up late, but it was Paea and McClellin. Peppers has me concerned. I don't know how much it actually showed up late. It didn't seem to me that those late pressures were getting to the QB quickly, but rather having the time to get to him. There were plays that McClellin was pushed around. Admittedly, it's all just relative the complete lack of pass rush earlier. Just was happy to see anything from them at that point.

  24. At times he got abused. That horrible pass interference on the ridiculous lob ball that was up for grabs for anybody who decided to look was ugly. The one pick was fantastic work by him though. Tillman has to hold some sort of club record for leaving the game with an injury but returning during that game. That PI though was more of the result of a quick snap by Dalton, and the entire defense being unprepared. They pointed out during the game that Green was supposed to be double covered on that play, but Dalton quick snapped. Tillman saved a TD with the PI...at least, for the moment. They obviously scored immediately afterwards. It looked bad, but I don't think that's all on Tillman.
