  1. Because hockey is awful and I don't care what you say So's yer face.
  2. PFF data for the first preseason game. http://imgur.com/a/lY2zk Spoiler alert. Shea McClellin doesn't fare well.
  3. Exactly. But then they want them to climb out and walk away safely, like an episode of A-Team.
  4. [-( [-( @ESPNBears Joe DeCamillis on B. Marshall fielding punts in practice: "Brandon Marshall sometimes likes to be in drills he shouldn't be in."
  5. Palmer has gotten picked off by Conte, and by Willie Young at the line of scrimmage. Not looking good for Palmer.
  6. Right. If you watch the video, the car in front of Stewart had to swerve to miss the kid. As tragic as this is, I really think the person at fault here was the kid that died.

  8. Awesome.
  9. @ESPNChiBears Brandon Marshall just returned a punt in special teams drill @ZachZaidman Jerry Franklin getting reps with 2nd team at LB. Shea McClellin has not been used so far with the first two groups. @ZachZaidman In individual drills, Shea McClellin working with first team at SLB in base package.
  10. I agree, it will be very tough to establish intent, considering he ran towards Stewart. But I could see Stewart being banned from racing for life. Guys, you don't need intent to commit vehicular manslaughter. on a road Exactly. If this was someone that was recognized as a "nice guy" instead of Stewart, this would be a whole different conversation. I don't know what Stewart intended, or what he didn't. Maybe he wanted to spray dirt on the kid...maybe he wanted to scare him...or...maybe he couldn't see the guy standing in the middle of the RACETRACK wearing a dark outfit in a poorly lit track...I don't know, and nobody really does. What we can say for sure is that the guy shouldn't have been out of his car on the damn racetrack. I doubt Stewart sees any real repercussions from this, but I do think there will be rules changes as a result. Getting out of a car that isn't about to explode while on the racetrack? 6 month suspension. Needs a heavy penalty to be effective.

  13. If you don't want people stepping on your logo, don't put the logo on the ground. I'm looking at you, Blackhawks Blackhawks fans melting down over Bieber stepping on that thing was the besssssssssst. I love hockey, but yeah...that was pretty silly.
  14. lol, I think he was trying to hold back his swing.
  15. Eh...it's his first game in a new position. I'm willing to give him a little slack. It's not like we have some stud LB's pushing him, anyway.
  16. who's the dumbass running bases in javi's killbox Javi bombs will clear him easily.
  17. They're just little figures...basically bobblehead dolls without the bobble. They make tons of them for comic book characters, or various pop culture things, like Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, etc. The NFL stuff is new.
  18. His leg kick is probably just a little too high. Calming that down a bit should help his back. I know he's had back issues in the past, so this could be potentially worrisome. No. Nothing about him so far is worrisome. Nothing.
  19. Funko Pop is coming out with NFL players....the Bears one is Cutler: http://www.clarktoys.com/jaycucbenflf.html And the Eli one has a bit of Manning face...heh. http://www.clarktoys.com/elimanyoginf3.html
  20. There's no reason they should have to give up anything decent. The Marlins have no leverage here. I've seen this from several people, but the Marlins do have some leverage over the Cubs. If Turner gets pulled back he will go on irrevocable waivers. At that point the Rockies and the Dbacks would have the option of picking him up for nothing. Colorado could certainly change their minds about him, but I am certain he wouldn't get past Arizona. While the pressure on the FO to get this done isn't Tanaka-like, it is the exact type of acquisition they want to supplement the wave of prospects coming up. Not getting it done would be seen as a failure at this point. Its going to come down to having to give up enough to make it interesting for Florida. That may be someone decent. I suppose that's possible, but why pull him back just to put him back on waivers? I guess it just depends on how hard Florida really wants to play hardball. They can get something from the Cubs, even if it's just a long shot. They get nothing at all if they pull him back. I guess it depends on your definition of leverage (and of decent), but imo, they don't have so much leverage to get something "decent".
  21. I do too, but admit that I'm too attached to prospects right now to objectively evaluate value here. We've waited sooo long that I almost feel like not seeing some of these guys in a Cubs uniform would be disappointing.
