  1. CSN has advertised the hell out of the Kap and Haugh rebroadcasts during Cubs games, Hawks games and Bulls games.
  2. Apparently they're ripping on Feder now, blaming him for reporting this before everyone was told, like that's his job.
  3. John Clayton says that Cutler was almost benched before the Vikings game:
  4. I bailed on it.
  5. It's actually a message board for all the stations. It's pretty bad. Yeah, it's really, really brutal.
  6. I do like Julie. She's a pretty good twitter follow.
  7. http://deadspin.com/it-was-reported-today-that-the-game-87-7-chicagos-firs-1661260347
  8. Today might get them their best ratings ever.
  9. Really though, college stations were getting higher ratings than The Game.
  10. I can't see them putting him back on the air. Gotta hurt his ability to get another job too Nope, just came back from commercial break and is still going off. "We're still professional enough to do our live reads." "I guess that's what we're calling ourselves for the rest of the year." Dang, missed the full rant...tuned in just in time for this. Cutler's press conference might be giving him time to calm.
  11. @BNightengale: 2014-11-20 18:16:48 UTC Bud Selig now to announce that Rob Manfred has received a 5-year contract to succeed him.

  13. So, there's a lot of drama going on in Washington...enough that PFT has an article questioning whether Gruden might be out after only one year. How would you guys feel about him coaching the Bears if Trestman is out? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/11/20/could-gruden-be-one-and-done-in-washington/
  14. He still has to be at the ballpark though, and he has kids. Part of the equation may be which schedule allows him to see his kids more often (which is debatable). Or Schilling could simply be blowing smoke out of his ass as usual. According to Maddon, he's pretty lax on when players report to the park. Uh-oh, you just set off the Kaplan-Signal. Oooh, someone should directly ask Maddon his feeling on players not running hard to first base on routine grounders.
  15. Olbermann on the Stanton deal. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=11905040
  16. He's not Kyle anymore.

  18. TVR fractured his left patella and will require surgery tomorrow. He's out 3-4 months.
  19. Well thank God.
  20. But...imagine the "Mister Anderson" jokes!
  21. Put him, and Chris Williams, and Alshon on the field at the same time, and you won't know which one is doing the end-around!
  22. There was a lot of talk on the radio about him sounding a lot like Lovie yesterday.
  23. Definitely. And I don't hate him. I don't watch the show regularly anymore, but I still think he's funny.
  24. So...the Braves are our offseason nemesis this season, I see.
  25. Probably because they can get away with it. I bet most teams would prefer to remain vague on injury issues, but some leagues more or less mandate that they give up the information and they are followed by a huge amount of media that wants to break the news. Most NHL injuries involve a guy (barely) skating off the ice and going to the dressing room never to be heard from again. In the NFL you have 14 different angles of close-ups, the guy goes down on the field and gets taken off by a cart and Schefter/Glazer types race to break the exact news. The NHL has never forced their teams to be open, and they are followed by a handful of Canadian reporters who respect the tradition of not releasing that information. Exactly. NFL coaches would love it if they could get away with not releasing injury info.
