    QB is absolutely a position of need. The position led the NFL in turnovers. But the combination of Cutler's contract and the numerous other needs across the team push it further down the list of priorities. I'd love to have an upgrade at QB. But I don't believe that exists as a realistic option in 2015.

    I think if he was out and out fired, we'd have heard about it. This has gone in order from top down. I think the best we can hope for is getting him away from football decisions.

    Please no I think that chance is gone now with Emery gone as well. That would've been a "for Cutler" hire...no reason for a new GM to do that.

    No. Emery would've been interested in keeping him to prove that contract was ok. But too many new people will want a fresh start.

    Emery getting fired increases the odds of the Bears cutting ties with Cutler, imo.

    Unless they have a GM already lined up, and it's a quick hire. ESPN article says they are bringing in a consultant. I'd guess this means Phillips is in trouble as well. I'm guessing he stays, just isn't making football decisions. Business only.

    There's coach/player meetings at 11:00 and player media availability is scheduled at 11:00. Something's gotta give. But nobody knows enough about what's going on to schedule tv coverage.
