QB is absolutely a position of need. The position led the NFL in turnovers. But the combination of Cutler's contract and the numerous other needs across the team push it further down the list of priorities. I'd love to have an upgrade at QB. But I don't believe that exists as a realistic option in 2015.
I think if he was out and out fired, we'd have heard about it. This has gone in order from top down. I think the best we can hope for is getting him away from football decisions.
Unless they have a GM already lined up, and it's a quick hire. ESPN article says they are bringing in a consultant. I'd guess this means Phillips is in trouble as well. I'm guessing he stays, just isn't making football decisions. Business only.
My friend is saying PFT is saying Trestman may be safe though. Linked me an article that I can't read. lots of people assuming this is the story. It can't be true. But if it is, laughably stupid. Only way it's possible would be if they're gonna let the new GM/management make that decision?
There's coach/player meetings at 11:00 and player media availability is scheduled at 11:00. Something's gotta give. But nobody knows enough about what's going on to schedule tv coverage.
I'm guessing it means that George is the one deciding on who is fired/staying so anyone from Phillips on down could be gone. Would that be that news worthy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If he fired Phillips and on down the ladder...yes, that'd be newsworthy.
Its android that broke, and some web access from what I've been able to find. I'm too lazy to go to an actual comp. My Twitter is working on android. The official app?
