    So Pat Mannelly talked to Mickey Loomis. Paraphrasing here, but he said that Pace will be more "in house" than Emery was. Emery liked to be out of the building scouting, and that Pace will be more of an executive and will lets his scouts do the scouting, and will be more of a building manager.

    At least one twitter person has been going with "Bowels" jokes. Is that the way it's pronounced? That's what I get for completely ignoring ESPN and talk radio. I've only seen the name in print. No...it's just a childishly amusing, purposeful misspelling.

    Not for nothing but didn't Phil Emery have complete control? Yep. He just wasn't very good at it. I thought that Ted Phillips was the head of Football (and Business) Operations during the Emery regime. I read the tweet to mean that Pace reports directly to George and Phillips is being Crane Kenney'd We'll find out tomorrow, but Bernstein said that part of the reason that Pace got hired over Ballard was that Pace wasn't really as concerned about organiational structure as he was about a plan to fix the product on the field. Ballard talked much, much more about org. structure. But it's been said in several places that Emery had complete football control. I guess we'll here more tomorrow about who reports to whom.

    Peggy Kusinski NBC Chicago Interesting #Bears situation today. acc. to sources, Todd Bowles was waiting and waiting in the Halas Hall lobby for his interview for HC job, turns out team was busy hiring Ryan Pace as GM. Then brought Bowles in for his HC interview with Pace as the new GM.
