    I get your point about the importance of coaching, Jersey, but you've been bitching about bad drafts for a long time...not sure how you can minimize the importance of the GM. Both are important.

    My problem with Ballard/Toub would be that it feels like going back to Angelo/Smith. Which like I said, isn't a disaster. But it's just more of the same. It's not going for it...it's familiar.

    The Ballard/Toub pairing wouldn't likely be a disaster, but it's the kind of underwhelming hires that would really show that little has changed.

    Kubiak now mentioned for a few teams but not bears yet. Wade Phillips getting looked at for Redskins DC.

    @jeff_McLane #Eagles announce changes in titles for Howie Roseman and Chip Kelly ... @jeff_mclane Roseman will be elevated to the role of Executive VP of Football Operations. Kelly will now oversee the player personnel department. They basically made Kelly the GM and moved GM to...something else. Kelly wins.

    Rose has had a few bad games. So have Jimmy Butler, Pau Gasol, and really, pretty much everyone on the team. The Nets and Nuggets weren't exactly playing shut down defense. The shots just aren't falling right now. The Bulls look like they're sleepwalking through some games, then turning it on in the 4th quarter for wins. Which is a change from previous years teams where the Bulls had to play with max energy every single night to get wins.

    I understand the frustration, but what "celebrity" names are out there at all for GM? Decosta was the closest thing really...maybe Polian I guess? The only 2 coaching interviews they have set up (today and tomorrow) are for 2 guys that are gonna be in the playoffs and unavailable. I think they wanna get that GM in place before they go full bore after a coach. I think that's why we haven't heard much more than rumors.
