  1. I always find it a bit...odd....to say a series that isn't even complete is the best.
  2. Niko shaved. EDIT: Whoops, he didn't shave...it's an old pic. http://i.imgur.com/8YepPbA.jpg
  3. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/13058854/philadelphia-phillies-ramp-efforts-deal-closer-jonathan-papelbon
  4. Pitching bats are really what this team is lacking though. Would put them over the top or something.
  5. During the regular season, a .920 save % is about average. Playoffs are all about small sample sizes but historically, to beat the Hawks the opposing team has to have their goalie turn in a .940 save % and their team has to have a corsi of 55+. Hockey stats are a lot like defensive metrics in baseball though. I like how instead of taking five seconds to actually look up the average save percentage, you just made up a number that was horribly wrong. http://espn.go.com/nhl/statistics/team/_/stat/scoring/sort/savePct/seasontype/2 NHL League average was .915 this season. I don't think David is going to be all misled by that .005 over-estimation. http://www.hockey-reference.com/leagues/stats.html
  6. "It's really awesome of you guys to sign me, Mr Epstein. I'm sure i can help...wait...why are you stopping the car on this busy overpass?"
  7. Yeah, the Corsi EV was pretty even until midway through the 2nd. Then the Hawks jumped until midway through the 3rd when TB got desperate. http://www.naturalstattrick.com/game.php?season=20142015&game=30414
  8. Yeah I disagree. The Hawks had several hit the post that "should have gone in". ifs and buts....
  9. Yep...it was the one that deflected off Seabrooks stick and somehow, incredibly, missed the net. Rewound when I saw someone mention it on twitter. Anyone else think that it went in at the end? The way Corey reacted, and then for a second forgetting we were at home, so the spotlight and horn confused me, and jesus I was high strung. My wife and I both sat there for a second, staring at the screen till we realized it was safe to celebrate.
  10. C team or not, that was fun.
  11. Helluva shot.
  12. If you have cable with Fox Sports 1, you can stream it on the Fox Sports Go app/desktop website Yep, already figured that out.
  13. Germany goes from defense to offense so fast.
  14. thinking it does harm is rather ridiculous. Tell that to one of the parents of the numerous kids who kill themselves from cyber bullying. And that's exclusive to twitter?
  15. It's like saying the internet is bad because there's bad people that use it too.
  16. Funny, cuz he'd previously been pretty adamant about wanting to stay at guard and be the best RG in the league or something.
  17. Gonna have to think on this one for a bit.... http://i.imgur.com/nXQXP0c.png
  18. Bickell out, Versteeg in.
  19. More importantly... http://mlb.mlb.com/sponsors/dominos/dominono/
  20. Second City Hockey did the same thing, and someone corrected him on twitter. Only reason I knew.
  21. Yeah, since offer sheets can't be extended till after the draft, and then the compensation pick is for the "next" draft, it'd still work for Pitt. Technically. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offer_sheet
  22. He's an RFA right, so I guess they could "pursue" him. But those big offer sheets happen so rarely for a reason. Pittsburgh can't even extend an offer sheet to him because they lost their 1st round pick when they traded for David Perron. The only way they could get him is if the Blackhawks will willing to trade him. Actually, I'm pretty sure that's not true. I believe the it's the 2016 first rounder that would be at risk.
