  1. Good bluesky account to follow for combined practice today against the Bengals. The account typically compiles a lot of Bears posts from X onto Bluesky. Da Bears (@chicagobearsx.bsky.social) — Bluesky Seems like a mixed bag so far. Bears D started off slow against Burrow and the first team offense in the first period, but made some stops near the end.
  2. More on Thieneman:
  3. But it wasn't even like they were playing them badly. I dunno...
  4. Feels like there's been about 10 balls that have looked like DP's and turned into FC's today.
  5. Kinda crazy how little faith people have in the Cubs coming back from a (checks score) 1 run deficit. I get the offense isn't showing a lot here today, but it's hardly an impossible task, and it's not the Cubs haven't come back to win in this same series!
  6. I've only been half paying attention while I work, but I didn't realize PCA was DH'ing until that hit to center.
  7. Loveland and Monangai weren't "impact" until mid-season. And I don't think those "summaries" are very accurate. Cleveland was actively avoiding Thieneman during the first preseason game: Did The Browns Avoid Dillon Thieneman? Why It Sure Looks That Way Logan Jones is probably only going to see the field if Bradbury gets hurt. It's more about them loving Bradbury's communication and experience right now. No hurry here. Roush has been fine...he got a couple of catches on Saturday. Muhammed is probably going to be the nickel. He's got a ton of speed, though he does still have some things to learn, which will come with time. And then Van Den Berg is getting about as much hype and play as any 6th rounder could, honestly.
  8. There's a lot of reasons. NFL owners are all participants in a massive NFL conglomerate, and the Bears are one of the flagship teams. The McCaskeys are rich...but all their money is tied up in the team. They don't have external wealth to rely on here, like most mega-rich owners. They just haven't been able to keep up with the Jerry Jones's. Also, if the Bears fail to get the stadium done, because of failing to conquer political issues, that can have an effect on other teams as they attempt to do similar deals.
  9. In quantity, maybe. But only Bryant has been a long lasting injury. Unless you're counting Kyler, which...who the hell knows.
  10. Sounds like he'll be back right around Week 1. We'll have to see if he gets into that game or if it lasts a little longer.
  11. Davenport was a first-round pick (14th overall) by the New Orleans Saints in 2018, back when Sean Payton was the head coach and Allen was the defensive coordinator.
  12. The Bears are gonna end up renewing the Soldier Field lease, aren't they?
  13. Generally, I agree. In this particular instance, it does seem kinda petty though. "How dare the team I don't play for anymore give my number to someone new?!" Meh.
  14. Warren and McCaskey talked and said nothing.
  15. The answer is doing what they are doing. Help him get healthy and pressure him to be an active part of this team.
  16. Gonna be a lot of shootouts.
  17. Ben Johnson confirms.
  18. It's Coby's new normal.
