  1. It reminds me of the occasional mention of "Kerry Woods" back in the day.
  2. If there's confusion, I'm saying that Kane is probably guilty of something, because there's been no one speaking up for him, defending him publicly.
  3. this is a really weird post from you. what? Marshawn Lynch, for example...although he didn't come out with a statement, the Seahawks sure did almost immediately last year, saying that the woman that accused him of assault last year was "bogus". Turns out she was, and she was charged. It's a different scenario...not rape or sexual in nature, but my point simply is that if Kane knew this accusation was completely BS, him, or his lawyer, or someone would be coming out and loudly saying so. well, iirc, Lynch could verify that he was somewhere else at the time, and the woman thought some other guy was him. Kind of a different situation. ....Yes....That's my point. Guys that didn't do it typically let it be known, through one means or another, that the charges are false. Kane has done nothing of the sort, other than the one bar owner saying some dumb crap.
  4. Who's Jeffries?

  6. I'm not giving up on the division yet. With 50ish games left to play, and the way the Cubs are playing, I can't settle for the WC yet.
  7. If there was any chance of that happening, there would have been no need for all the "keep Bryant down for 2 weeks" drama at the start of the season.
  8. Heard John Danks this quoted on CSN this morning saying that the Cubs-WS games are always really fun when both teams are good.... Hmmmm
  9. So, that Segura attempted steal cost the Brewers a run.
  10. Twitter was no less silly about it. David Schuster from the Score saying that the Brewers were laughing as they were stealing or something?
  11. Good lord, these game threads will be just ridiculous.

  13. Typically, when people are being falsely accused, they come out immediately saying so. Kane has been quiet for a reason.
  14. At what cost though? It sounds like they were trying to get something done with SD, but the Pads decided to be crazy and stand pat. I was all for them making moves, but not at any cost.
  15. You're on Kyle's side, Mojo....how does it feel?
  16. You've clearly been deeply wounded by someone. Never actually dated a Cubs fan; had a few relationships where I kinda/hoperfully turned them into Cubs fans, but I think I've consciously avoided it. What if one night they walk into the bedroom wearing nothing but a Theriot shirsey? If you're able to turn them into Cubs fans, surely you can turn them from a bad Cubs fan into a good one.

  18. Probably only occasional this season. The games are too important down the stretch to have him learning back there.
  19. Pass. I need my wife to be a source of support when my team crushes me, or celebrate with me when they succeed. There's no shortage of people out there to ridicule my teams failures, or minimize their successes. I don't need it in my house.
  20. To get even better. Suck on that 1 "no," dorks! http://perfectlycursedlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/fake-sad-face.gif
  21. Yeah, I can quickly glaze over when articles get too stats-y, but I thought they explored that in a well-explained way.
  22. I'm a Cubs/Bears/Blackhawks/Bulls/Purdue fan. She's a Brewers/Packers/Bucks/Wisconsin (from Green Bay) fan. The only team she'll support is the Blackhawks. This is what I get for marrying the enemy. http://reactiongif.org/wp-content/uploads/GIF/2014/08/GIF--Not-Impressed-Eww-Euw-Awful-Bad-disgust-nope-Colin-Farrell-GIF.gif
