Yeah...and I mean, Joe has no real influence on a solution here. I just think a lot of him and expected a more bit more nuanced thought on the topic. That's all.
No, he's supposed to say that we need to do whatever is necessary to protect the fans that are there to watch the game. There's easy soundbytes to not sound like he's being callous about some lady that got brained by a screaming line drive. Screens/netting is the easy solution here.
I'm disappointed in Maddon's stance on this foul ball issue. Saying that people need to pay more attention. It's just not realistic, and puts the blame on the victim.
I admit I followed them on twitter for a little while, but quickly figured out that they're essentially willing to pass on any sports rumor they happen across, without any verification or investigation. They're real bad.
Not sure about a bigger version, but that pic was posted in yesterday's game thread. Don't think it was quite the same pic....this was the closest I saw... http://i.imgur.com/G5hL6sK.jpg
Stop this. The Cubs aren't going to lose just because they're the Cubs, just like the Cardinals don't win because they're the Cardinals. The Cubs are playing better than the teams behind them right now. And they have a huge lead. It's ok to accept that.
That is more than likely vs. LHP only. Russell is out with a Groin Strain and is Day 2 Day. That is more concerning for me as he has been very good as of late. But he is also 2 cool 2 B 4gotten. http://geekinccomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/toocool1.jpg
