    I don't think Coomer is terrible when he's only doing color. He's not great but he gets the job done. When he switches to PBP is when I am seething with hatred. Thats true. Dan Plesac is still the worst color I've heard for the Cubs. Didn't Randy Hundley fill in on a few occasions?

    I was fully expecting one of those to fall into the pool during a race and electrocute the entire field of swimmers I always wonder about them falling, but I doubt there was any risk of electrocution.

    Deadspin has an article about Mary Decker falling after colliding with Zola Budd in the 1984 olympics in the 3000m run, but the article was focused on the photographers that took pictures that day, which I thought was boring as hell.     Well obviously they won't sign him unless he's ok not being the closer. It's not like they're gonna sign him and then he's gonna get all mad about not being the closer. But yes, him being a bad pitcher now is a concern.

    I'm not going to claim exhaustive knowledge of the process, but my mental model is that they aren't reviewing every audio clip they have each year. If that's the case, then they definitely screwed up more than what I was picturing, but the fact that they've got that in there at all(a 20 year old song with that title) is probably an indicator that whatever list they're pulling from wasn't being reviewed with much scrutiny, if at all. Well the 20 years old doesn't surprise me. They play "Whoop there it is" after home runs after all. Obviously that's not the real problem though.
