  1. The Cubs are in the World Series. Can we save the ridiculous trade proposals and off season talk for one more week?
  2. LOL...Jeff Passan investigated Schwarber shouting "suck my dick" at the Cubs dugout after his first RBI. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/the-incredible-comeback-of-kyle-schwarber-world-series-hero-and-secret-draft-room-weapon-072549932.html

  5. Quick, lock Baez into a room with that machine for 13,000 pitches over the off-season Counter argument: Don't change what Javy has been doing because it's clearly been working.
  6. His defense is too good, at one of the 2-3 most important positions on field, to sit him. He's shown that even when he looks awful one game he can look fine the next offensively. I agree with you. I guess I'm just surprised that he'd be willing to start Soler and trying to figure out the knock-off effect that has on other spots. Joe started Chris Coghlan last night. Is Soler more or less surprising than that?
  7. No I personally wouldn't, but he's been struggling. And for the record, not that my opinion matters, I wouldn't start Soler. Russell had a bad night last night, but he'd been fine/good the 3 games previous.
  8. The point of robot umps is consistency. If it's off by a little, it's off by a little, but it'd be off by a little for every pitch throughout a game.
  9. I wonder if that factored into the decision to have him throw that much yesterday. Eh, if it gets rained out tonight, I assume they'll just make it up Thursday and keep everything else on schedule, so then it's four games in four days that he'd have to deal with. Would delay any potential benefit, and I guess the biggest chance of a blowout is Hendricks vs Tomlin, but not the worst if it gets rained out. Except Thursday weather appears to be as bad or worse than today.
  10. I wonder if that factored into the decision to have him throw that much yesterday. It was on his mind.
  11. I don't know that Joe has a doghouse, but it sure seems like Soler is in one right now.
  12. Joe said that they wouldnt rule out using him in the field at Wrigley. I don't think its a great idea, but he seems to have exceeded all previous expectations so why the hell not? Oh wow...I hadn't heard that.
  13. Just too bad he won't be able to play more in games 3-5.

  15. Resisting the urge to turn this into a dickbutt gif thread.
  16. Sorry about that...helps keep the site from choking right now.
