  1. lol, filter broke the link. Maybe try a url shortener?
  2. I did kinda feel bad for the guy when it was reported that he was crying after giving up the homer. Also, Jed said this morning that Chapman begged to pitch the 9th after giving up that homer. Wanted to hold the lead. But yeah, glad it was someone else.
  3. I've been at work 20 min and have teared up (but managed to hold it together) at least twice so far.
  4. ROFL...Jed just said that he's co-chairing the GM meetings this year that start on Sunday!!
  5. I've cried multiple times since last night. I am utterly, emotionally drained. Everything that usually goes against the Cubs turned out FOR the Cubs. That Davis home run would have been the end for any previous Cubs team...but not this team...not...this...team... I see so many people posting here, facebook, twitter...and I'm grateful so many people are able to express their emotions about this...because I'm utterly unable. I can tell you this much....I have the game and 3 different channels worth of postgame recorded, and that dvr will be buried with me.

  7. Grr, storms here around gametime. Better not lose the directv.
  8. We can't all be unicorns and rainbows all the time like you. But we can strive.
  9. Oh god....there's a lineup....this game is gonna happen.
  10. Sounds like Charlie Sheen may be throwing the first pitch tonight. Or maybe just attending?
  11. The announcers have plenty of faults, but neither is "anti" another team. Cleveland thinks Buck is wayyyyy pro-Cubs. Fans want homer announcers. "If they aren't for us, they're against us!" Eh, I'd agree that Buck has been a little pro-Cubs, outside of his Kershaw obsession. He hasn't been pro-Cubs, though I will say I do think he (and other announcers) have a tendency to fall in love with certain narratives. The biggest examples this series has been Buck being quite effusive about Schwarber, Smoltz with the Lester/running thing,
  12. I think he's been blatantly anti-Cubs in all three series. The announcers have plenty of faults, but neither is "anti" another team. Cleveland thinks Buck is wayyyyy pro-Cubs. Fans want homer announcers. "If they aren't for us, they're against us!"

  14. Am i rationalizing if I say that it seems like the Cubs have actually made some solid contact against Miller, they were just right at people?
  15. I'd rather listen to Joe Buck than Barstool. Joe Buck has been fine. Smoltz is rather dumb though. Buck is fine calling game action...I don't like his thoughts as he fills space though. I've enjoyed Smoltz quite a bit outside of his Lester/running game analysis/obsession.
  16. This will be the smallest gap between seasons the Cubs have ever had though...if that helps. Also I'm guessing pitchers and catchers will report early this year because of the WBC. That has been the case in years past right? Twins have a report date of Feb 13, that's the only one I can find. Based on that, the offseason will last just 102 days. For a frame of reference, 102 days ago was July 23rd. The Cubs lost in Milwaukee 6-1, but won the next game with a bases loaded double by Rizzo. A week after that, the Cubs began their 11 game winning streak that basically clinched best record in NL Ugh, not a fan of the WBC.
