    2006 didn't tease you. You knew what the Cubs were. They were bad. This team has show you good and shown you bad so you can't get a read on them.

    I would rather Aramis sit and get his wrist right. He hasn't been hitting a lot lately, and I'd just rather he get better.

    Not the NBA. MLB moniters this and will punish a team that the feel is abusing the DL. I also think Pagan could just be sent down, so why DL him. The Cubs have had a number of conveniently timed injuries in the past...I definitely think it's a phantom injury. the Cardinals routinely have phantom injuries. the latest being Mike Maroth. gives up 14 or so runs in two relief outings, and miraculously he has an injury. Well I'm doubting this is a phantom injury now...colitis would be quite a cover story...but nonetheless I agree with you. Phantom injuries most certainly do occur in MLB.

It's not like Pie was scheduled to come back right now and the needed to clear the roster spot. True, but Pagan hadn't been hitting, and has looked really bad getting to some fly balls. Did Pagan still have options? Could they have sent him down?

    I wouldn't mind it if it's Pagan. He's not a bench player, but there's no upside to playing him every day. Yeah, Pagan has really been cold too...and Piniella's all about "Who's now"... :P

    I'm not really inclined to relive this argument. It's been done by guys that can argue this topic a lot better than I can. I'll let you read the article that Rob posted if you want. I suspect you won't though, because it has nerd numbers in it. So you go on thinking what you want. That's fine.

    I love it, more DoPo love. We have seen that in a while. You'd be better off hoping the Cards hire DoPo. Hey, he was in Moneyball and is friends with Billy Beane. He has to be a great GM. Haven't read Moneyball. But I'm capable of seeing the success the Dodgers had after two seasons of Depodesta.

    Exactly how i feel you can see a difference in the players and when you are losing to the astros after sweeping them in the previoius two series.... yea I just don't know what to think about these cubs anymore. It'd pry be for the best if I didn't pay attention til they pulled their heads outta their ass's but I don't think i could stay away from the cubs withdrawals would get to me. The first Bears preseason game is Saturday. That will help for me...:P

    You know, up until about 2 weeks ago, I felt like the Cubs could come back in just about any game...I don't feel like that anymore.

    BS. The offense had issues before his injury. It didn't help, but you can't blame what we're seeing here on that.

    I think Kerry is going to be a good, fresh 2 inning guy once he gets going. But I don't like bringing him in in the middle of an inning with men on.
