  1. Anyone who has a problem with what Fields said is a horsefeathering moron. He's 100% right. And Portnoy is a Grade A toolbag.
  2. George better be long gone by the time Flus is fired and we hire a new coach.

    NFL Week 2

  4. How is Montgomery not in the Top 3 on offense?
  5. Kmet sucks. He's a total bust.
  6. tbf he just beat the Saints with Scotty Miller, Breshad Perriman, Russell Gage as his most targeted pass catchers Oh for fucks sake. You cannot be serious.
  7. Ridiculously disrespectful if true.
  8. the thing is, Orton HAD a better supporting cast then Fields does currently. No question about it.
  9. I remember an argument with my brother back in the Kyle Orton era. In no way did I think Orton was THE guy at QB but with as good as the defense was my point was that with a little bit of help around him Orton could be sufficient to get us where we wanted to go. He laughed at me and said a top flight QB should make the guys around him better. Fast forward a few years to the Cutler era and then his tune changed to "Cutler can't do it himself he needs help."
  10. This would be more convincing if it wasn't a copy-paste of the exact things I've been hearing about Bears QB busts since McNown. Exactly! I mean it's true. That talent is bad. But like I've said all offseason....do you spend a ton of money and force it? Miami is doing this with Tua. And granted, he had 6 TDs and 500 yards passing yesterday, but ultimately, he's probably not good enough for them to have spent all that money around him. And I'd imagine in a couple years, they're wasting tons of money on that supporting cast with inconsistent QB play and a few season that they have nothing to show for. NYG has done that for Daniel Jones, and again they are 2-0, but they probably aren't actually good and have no cap space to add a proven QB to that team next year. I love Fields as much as anyone on this board. My wife thinks I'd leave her for him if I ever actually met him (straight man crush). But at some point, he has to show some basic competencies of an NFL QB. He's still not throwing to open guys, when they do get open. He still isn't feeling the pass rush and moving in the pocket to avoid it. He's still holding onto the ball too long. And honestly, he hasn't really shown progress in that area. I know, new offense, new players everywhere, bad playcalling, whatever excuse you want to make, but they aren't going to sit around and spend huge money to add big-time talent around him if Fields isn't improving on those basic traits. Then the next QB is going to come in with the same lack of talent around him and we will be looking for yet another new QB two years after that. Lather rinse repeat, the Chicago Bears Way.
  11. The Bears should draft a QB in the first round every year. Eventually they will stumble across a franchise QB, amirite?
  12. Are we sure any WR's are actually open? I mean, thats exactly my point. he has no talent around him and thats been a known all off season. They probably aren't open, well, definitely aren't enough for Fields Right, no QB would be successful in his shoes.
  13. Are we sure any WR's are actually open?
  14. This would be more convincing if it wasn't a copy-paste of the exact things I've been hearing about Bears QB busts since McNown. And that's on the horsefeathering mess of a franchise. Draft another QB in the next draft and the same horsefeathers is going to happen.
  15. Fields hasn't even started a full season of games and he's being written off. Have any of those other QB's had as little talent around him as Fields does? It's comically bad. He may not be the answer but to expect any QB to succeed under similar circumstances is asinine.
  16. He's looking down his primary receiver and holding the ball way too long. OK, I guess you are right. It's still a little too early. But what you posted is like deja vu for every other failed QB the Bears have had. It's too early, he doesn't have help, too many coaches, etc etc. I find it to be more likely at this point he will ultimately fail, for whatever reason(s) we want to point to. But since this season isn't going to be a good one anyway, I'm OK continuing to play him. Of course he's going to horsefeathering fail because that is what he's being set up to do. Tom Brady would fail in this position.
  17. horsefeathers this stupid franchise and its fans. The expectations for Fields are just plain stupid. He is at the start of his 2nd season in the NFL with his 2nd coaching staff, a shitty OL (at least pass blocking-wise), no pass catchers whatsoever, and questionable play calling. He doesn't get any help from his defense either. Yet we expect All Pro level play because we've spent the last 3 decades getting shredded by Favre & Rodgers. And if anyone has forgotten, Rodgers spent three horsefeathering years on the sidelines learning before he was ever thrown into the fire. And he had much more talent around him to help him succeed. It's easy to see why the Bears never have any success at QB.
  18. Haven’t read anything on this thread since the game started but I have two things to say right now. 1. horsefeathers Getsy for the shotgun on 4th and goal from inside the 1. 2. horsefeathers the replay officials. Fields broke the plane.

    NFL Week 2

Had the horsefeathering Browns in a survivor pool for $4800. :banghead:
  20. Suck it, Miami!
  21. Seriously, why would you not onside kick there? 7 seconds left in the game. Only bad things can happen there.
  22. Syracuse just kicked off from the PURDUE 35 yard line. Never seen that before.
  23. Maybe a little early with this post. Lol. Only regret I have about taking OU -11 was that I didn’t bet more.
