Kingsbury was also the exception in that he wasn't a particularly good college coach either. 35-40 overall, 2 winning seasons out of 6(and none in his most recent 3), never more than 8 wins in a season(his first season). Texas Tech can be hard to recruit to, but not that hard. He had Baker Mayfield at Tech and ran him off.

The difference is in that scenario it was a level playing ground. Here it would not be. I am not making an argument one way or another on how it should be handled but if two teams play one less game it is not equal. And unfortunately for the NFL this game had huge playoff implications.

Incredible comeback win but one thing I noticed is that LaVine didn’t touch the ball at all in OT. So much for our max contract guy. Oh, Grayson Allen is still a horsefeathering bitch.

To me I think C is a position where you could draft a quality player in the 3or 4th round that could start right away assuming you have some talent around them. I would not risk that units success on the availability of the right OC prospect just sitting there in the mid rounds. That would be more of a "wait and see on Whitehair and LG" proposition than a "Wait and see on Mustipher/Patrick at C" proposition to me. Well if a solid FA target comes available at a fair price I wouldn't wait on the draft to hope to get lucky. That wasn't my intention. Not sure what the cap hit is for Patrick but I'm not opposed to penciling him in at C since that is what he was signed for but really never played there this season. Whitehair needs to go because he gets paid too much for his production and Mustipher needs to go because he sucks donkey balls. -

I guess another reason to consider a trade down to get more immediate assets. One of the talking heads on Twitter, might have been a Sun times guy was saying the Bears would have to have a roughly 80% hit rate on moves this offseason to contend for the playoffs in 2023. That may ultimately be right. We’ll see That seems awfully high. The Bears were close to at least 4-5 more wins this season. A few breaks go their way and they’d be “in the hunt” right now. The Vikings on the other hand have had a lot break their way. No team in NFL history has more one score wins in a season. A regression to the mean should be expected next season. The Packers are on the way down and while they’re trending in the right direction the Lions still don’t have a QB. The division should be very winnable in 2023. -
Play the horsefeathering QB if he's healthy enough to play. He needs all the reps he can get. I get that injuries are always possible but I don't see the benefit of sitting him the last 2 games.

You’re not wrong about some things in here, but Zach has been incredibly efficient the last several years. And I’m pretty sure he’s a good dude and a good teammate. The stories above seem to paint a different picture.

Trade LaVine for picks, trade Vooch for a couple basketballs, trade Coby for whatever you can get for him, pray with everything that we land a top 4 pick, profit.

It’s not necessarily the lack of scoring. It’s more the lack of scoring opportunities I think. Goalkeepers can go an entire game without having to make a save and it’s not a rare occasion. And I get that there doesn’t have to be a save for there to have been a scoring chance but it seems to my uneducated eyes that rarely in games is there a true chance of a goal happening. That definitely was NOT the case yesterday. And I hate the fact that the World Cup final was decided on penalty kicks. Seems like such an injustice to the teams in my opinion.
