  1. Vic Fangio is getting $4.5MM/year for 3 years from the Dolphins. Holy horsefeathers.
  2. That marriage was probably doomed anyway.
  3. [bbvideo=560,315] [/bbvideo]
  4. That’s about when I turned the game on. I’ll take the blame for the collapse.
  5. I really like Harry, but there's a reason I don't want him back. The Bears are already bringing back Mooney, Claypool, Velus Jones and St. Brown. Harry would be the 5th WR on a roster that usually carries 6. I know they carried 7 a lot of this year, and they could cut Jones, St. Brown and/or Harry for minimal dead cap, but I'd hate for them to get rid of Jones so quickly after flashes in the 2nd half, and obviously cheap rookie deal and great speed. St. Brown they obviously value by locking him up before the season ended. So, that limits the number of spots you have to truly upgrade the WR position. I just don't see much of a path to improvement if you bring back 5 of the 7 players on a bottom 5 WR depth chart in the league. The FA market is soft on WR's this year, right? If so bring back Harry and draft one. Spend more picks/cap money on protecting Fields up front and let's see what he can do with this group. Then maybe we can make a bigger splash at WR next offseason. Just spitballing here off the top of my head.
  6. Petition to have this name automatically changed to Stupid McUglyface if anyone posts it here.
  7. Because people are at work and unable to watch? Well, if they played in Paris when we could watch it would be at midnight over there. They have these things called "weekends" when most people are off of work.
  8. Because why the horsefeathers not? lol Because people are at work and unable to watch?
  9. Why are the Bulls playing in Paris on a Thursday afternoon? (Yes, I know it's not afternoon in Paris but it is here.)
  10. I think they give him one kick. Shank it and he’s done. So then you don’t have a kicker the rest of the game? They’re fools if they don’t sign a new kicker before Sunday.
  11. Maybe I'm just a dummy but those evaluations don't seem to support your claim I bolded in my response.
  12. It's hard to generate a lot of hype for the upcoming draft if the no. 1 overall pick isn't better than a guy who fell outside the top 10 a couple years ago. Faulty assumption. There is no indication that Young is going to be the #1, 2 or 10 pick. It's too early to tell. However, he's a better prospect than Fields ever was. He's a better passer, has more situational awareness, and makes better decisions than Fields did in college. I'm not an expert (obviously), but if Fields and Young were both in the draft, Young would likely get drafted before him. But then again, he probably would have been a 2nd string QB for OSU. Edit: That also does not necessarily mean that Young is going to be a better pro QB than Fields. According to whom?
  13. Dude has the yips, assuming he wasn't shaving points. You cannot have him go into next week as your kicker.
  14. I think he missed one last week too. Reminds me of Parkey ruining our playoff win when he should have been replaced a long time before.
  15. How many of these "megastar" high draft pick QB's actually live up to the hype? Not many. How many "we just need to give him more weapons and another year" bears QBs ended up living up to the hype? Once again, I'm not saying we have to draft a QB and trade fields because of this. I'm saying that "trading fields and seeing him become a superstar somewhere else would be a Bears thing to do" is a bad argument. There's a lot of instances of the Bears passing on good QBs and very few (flutie?) of them letting a good one go. It's perfectly possible for keeping fields to be the right choice and for a lot of the arguments being put forth for it to be bad arguments. When is the last time the Bears actually surrounded a QB with weapons? When is the last time the Bears had a QB with a talent level similar to Fields?

  17. I'll take the Giants over the Viqueens. Home team on the others.
  18. I didn't see the game, but believe I saw that he thought he had been fouled and was going for the continuation. Apparently replays showed the Wizards guy also thought he had fouled him because he was motioning for the ref to call it a non-shooting foul. The Bulls were down 3. Why was he shooting a 2 in the first place?
  19. I'd like to beat him with a baseball bat.
  20. He can fill up a stat sheet but he is not a winner.
  21. Skip Bayless thinks the Bears should trade Fields. That should tell you how monumentally stupid it would be.
  22. Coaching can get you a long way but I think last night was the manifestation of a team full of 3* players running up against a team loaded with nothing but 4* and 5* talent.
