  1. To no one's surprise I'm sure I would love to see the Bears grab Devon Achane. Dude can fly. He's not a great pass blocker, though. He would also double as a top flight return man.
  2. Not happy Monty left for that deal, especially within the division. Did we just not want him?
  3. I don’t want them to get rid of him either. But they’ve had a target on him from day one and tried to get rid of him all last summer. I’m not saying he can’t switch sides, but it is a position change and not as meaningless as you suggest. It just strikes me that with four other positions less settled than RG, the one lineman they sign is a RG, and the incumbent RG just so happens to be a guy they tried to run out of town already. As raw pointed out maybe that’s just because he was the best available interior linemen that meets their criteria. Some poeple are speculating that Whitehair will be cut with Davis signed. I hope that doesn't happen. I'm not sure Whitehair is the best option, but given that players miss games I'd be happy to line him up at LG and have Jenkins available on a rookie contract to back up. Or switch them, I don't care, but don't put Jatyre Carter in when one of them goes down. I also think Patrick sucked balls all last year. I know he was hurt multiple times, but he was not great. So I hope he's not viewed as a starter in any way going forward. I hope I'm wrong and he is capable. Patrick was signed to play center but the early injury prevented that from ever happening. I would hope if he's in the plans for this season it would only be at C because he was terrible at LG.
  4. I must be taking crazy pills. Switching sides on the OL isn't a big deal. If Davis is truly locked in to RG then you move Jenkins to LG. Let him make the switch. But to think about getting rid of him when he was the best player on the line last season when we are desperately trying to solidify the OL is bizarre to me.
  5. Well there are two guards on every OL so unless you think Davis and Jenkins can only play RG and not LG I don't really see the issue here.
  6. Lucas Patrick is still under contract, right?
  7. At this point it would seem that the draft will see the Bears going heavy on the DL and probably an OT depending how the rest of FA shakes out.
  8. G Nate Davis from the Titans is going to be our first OL addition.
  9. This isn't some little 4 or 5 game hot streak. We have played like a Top 10 team for the past 3 months. This is what I expected before the season started. The non-conference horsefeathers show was confounding. I am concerned about PSU's ability to shoot the 3 and their ability to play defense without fouling. A&M gets to the FT line and makes more FT's than any team in the country. 25% of our points come at the line. We normally don't shoot a lot of 3's but we play tough D and pound the glass hard. Wade Taylor IV is the best PG in the SEC and one of the best in the country. Penn State may very well beat A&M but I think some of you are in for a big surprise if you haven't really seen us play.
  10. Glad someone else said it so I didn't have to. Clearly the committee is holding a grudge for Buzz questioning them last season so publicly and with actual facts. Thought with the way we've been playing since 1/1 that we could have been a potential Final Four surprise team if we got a decent draw. Now I'm not even thinking Sweet Sixteen. To get Texas, arguably a 1 seed, in the 2nd round is horsefeathering brutal. I think there's a very good argument for aTm to be seeded higher, but their paper thin non-con, unfortunately weak SEC draw(4 games against Bama/UK/UT including tourney), and pair of quad 4 losses are a more likely culprit than an imagined vendetta against Buzz. Our resume certainly has some big flaws. Our non-conference schedule was not good and we had some horrible losses on top of that. In no way did I think this would even be a discussion back in late December. But according to Torvik since January 1st we are playing like a top 5 or 6 team in the country. Our NET ended up at 19. Even Lunardi says we got screwed (quote below). Plenty of national writers are saying the same thing. This is not a biased homer whining about his team getting screwed. A&M finished as a 6 seed or better in all 82 of the brackets submitted in bracket matrix. We were a 4 in 11 of those brackets. Creighton finished as a 7 in almost every one of those brackets and as low as a 10 in some yet ended up as a 6 seed.
  11. The pigs have loads of talent. They just can't put it together on the court.
  12. Yeah, Texas aTm got hosed. 13. We just can't be allowed to have nice PG's in Chicago. :bye:
  14. Does that make you less interested in trading with them? I assume so when you consider future picks we'd be getting in the trade.

  16. Virginia isn't going to live that long, right? RIGHT?!
  17. Plus now they've won 5 straight to not only catch up to the rest of the league in points but actually dig themselves out of the cellar. These dolts are the Texans of the NHL. LOSE, YOU IDIOTS!
  18. Exactly where my mind went when I started reading the OP. And my IRL name is Tim as well. Are we the same person? What are your thoughts on beans in chili?
  19. They did NOT get it right as Devin Hester did not get in. 2023 and #23 didn't get in. Literally undisputed as the best at what he did. Maybe he can go in with teammate Julius Peppers Peanut Tillman next year. Fixed
  20. I'm intrigued.
  21. Maybe Jordan didn't play as long because he ran out of things to accomplish. He won championships all of his last 6 full seasons with the Bulls. Plus he never seemed concerned with individual goals. There are plenty of stories out there about how after his Wizards career was over he'd still work the horsefeathers out of current players on the practice court to show them he could still dominate. LeBron hasn't won a string of titles in a row and seems to care about individual accomplishments a lot more so maybe that's why he stuck around longer.
  22. Hold on to your hats. I have some ultra shocking news to share. KYRIE IRVING WANTS TO BE TRADED BEFORE THE DEADLINE I'm absolutely stunned by this developing story. Stunned, I tells ya.
