  2. The thread title reads like an organizational Viagra commercial tag line.
  3. This is from a Sully article in today's Trib. I hope to God that we didn't back out of a possible AGon deal solely because we refused to trade Cashner.
  4. That's crazy. I'm excited to matchup against #10 LSU. Should be a nice test to see how good we really are. Of course, losing yet another bowl game would be a discouraging way to end the season.
  5. I hate the Sports Reporters and do my best to avoid it. I happened to flip to ESPN a little early yesterday morning just in time to see the Lupica spot. Best thing I ever saw on that show. As far as the HOF goes, didn't Ronnie make it clear that he didn't want to be inducted posthumously?
  6. Is that true?
  7. Somebody get Hee Seop Choi on the phone.

  9. I have video if anyone is interested yessir seconded
  10. Don't argue with The Sausage King of Chicago. But seriously, this is not the thread to rip ownership.
  11. I was lucky enough to get him to autograph some baseballs for my dad and me before a Cubs-Rangers game in Arlington back in 2006, I think it was. It was the last game of the 3-game series and the only day game. About 10-12 of us were waiting (im)patiently below the announcers booth when someone finally asked Pat if Ron was going to be coming out anytime soon since it was almost game time. From our angle, we couldn't see that Ronnie was already sitting there. When he heard the question, he stood up and started having us toss up our stuff to get autographed. I will never forget that when someone tossed a cheap knockoff baseball to him, he would grab a blue sharpie and sign on the fat part of the baseball. When those of us that bought offical MLB baseballs tossed them up, he would sign right on the sweet spot with a blue ballpoint pen. That baseball has been on my fireplace mantle ever since. My dad has his proudly displayed amongst some other Cubs memorabilia at his home. I think what really gets me choked up about Santo's passing is that my dad is almost as big a Cubs fan as Ronnie was. He is also turning 80 next May and is starting to really slow down physically and mentally. His eyesight is getting progressively worse every year and I don't know if I will appreciate a Cubs World Series as much without my old man to share it with since he is the reason for me being a Cubs fan.
  12. I just bought a bunch of jerseys (Christmas presents) from the site I posted. I hope I don't get effed on the deal.
  13. The news said he slipped into a coma Wednesday, so I guess it wasn't a shock to the family. But how his health was before Wednesday is unknown to us.

  15. Wow. I was not expecting this news today. So sad. :(
  16. The Niners could win the West with a 6-10 record?
  17. Yeah, there are a bunch of misspelled words and misnamed teams. These are coming from southeast Asia, it appears. I would go strictly off the pictures. Oh, shipping is $20 so it's more cost effective for you to buy several at once. They add insurance too, but for 6 jerseys I was looking at right around $150.
  18. I am about to order some Christmas presents from http://www.supplyjerseyss.com. I went to a Bears game watching party down here and a lady there told me about the site. She was wearing a legit Walter Payton jersey with sewn on name/numbers and the NFL Equipment patch on the neckline. She said she got it from this site. I am a bit hesitant to order because it looks fishy as hell, but she swore it was all good. She didn't seem like she was at all associated with the site, either. I am a bit concerned about the sizes, though. I may go a size up.
  19. Hopefully they don't mean this only in leadership terms and, instead, mean that he'll be getting some starts at first to give Pujols days off. I thought it meant he would be spotting Pujols in the weight room. Can Theriot lift "a lot" of actual weight? Maybe once he gets on Albert's "vitamin" regimen.
  20. How is that even possible? He played the whole game and had 16 points. I though for sure that was a misprint and that he really had 10 or 20 rebounds.

  22. He doesn't need much help with that.
  23. I feel your pain. I will be watching two teams that A&M beat play for the conference championship when we had the same conference record as those two teams. ATM fans are starting to sound like Texas fans in 2008, but with a much less stable leg to stand on. I hesitate to respond for fear of simpletons thinking I am crying about the situation, but how do we not have a stable leg to stand on? Nebraska finished 6-2 in conference. OU finished 6-2 in conference. A&M finished 6-2 in conference. We beat both of them head-to-head. I understand that per Big 12 rules, we are left out. That doesn't make me happy, but that's the way it goes. We made our own bed. We should have beat OSU when we had the chance, but we didn't. A couple of months ago we were 3-3 and wondering if we needed to make another coaching change. Now we are 9-3 with 2 wins over Top 10 teams and a berth in the Cotton Bowl against a very good SEC team. That is reason to be happy in Aggieland. I say this because there were more than a few Aggies who thought they were going to jump either OU or OkST while having more losses. That's just stupid. No one in their right mind could have expected that. It was a Lloyd Christmas one in a million chance of that happening.
