  1. That's a great comeback. It is. I wonder who wrote it for him.
  2. Amazing. People here in the Arlington, TX area are pissed.
  3. If the Bears beat Minnesota and the Packers lose at New England we clinch the division, right? That would give us a 2 game lead with 2 to play. GB already has 2 division losses and the Bears have none.
  4. It sounds like he still believes that Bo Pelini is a candidate for the Miami job, as well. One year after he took over at Tech, who does he think he is Nick Saban? He must be tired of Odessa already. Poor Old Style. Why poor me?
  5. LOL @ texas
  6. If this is true, that's awesome. I can't think of anything more fitting. This has to happen. On Opening Day. Apparently it is true. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/cubs/post/_/id/2893/santos-ashes-to-be-spread-throughout-wrigley
  7. This cannot be said enough: DRose is a [expletive] stud.
  8. Couldn't agree more. As great as that season was, the way it ended pretty much ruined all the good memories. That video was depressing to me knowing how close we got.
  9. Santo's was more childish enthusiasm, whereas Hawk is a jerk. His proclamations are tough guy smack talk and then he complains about bad calls when things go wrong. Ron would just seem to question the baseball gods about why the Cubs sucked. Nail meet head.
  10. A lot of fans were turned off by his homerism, but to me that made him all the more endearing. Exactly. I don't understand why people would get upset at that. He is a Cubs announcer, he should be a Cubs homer. He was one of us, a fan who just happened to be in the booth.
  11. That's more than they sell for home games.
  12. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-spt-1210-cubs-chicago--20101209,0,619616.story Fukudome is still on the team, right?
  13. Can one of you numbers guys post a comparison of Fukudome to Colvin, please? I know some people that think Colvin is far & away a better hitter than Fukudome and I want to show them some statistics.
  14. So now that the Cubs have the answer to all their problems (Carlos Pena), assuming no other major changes are made how do you see the starting lineup? Fukudome RF Castro SS Byrd CF Ramirez 3B Pena 1B Soto C Soriano LF DeWitt 2B This is probably what I'd go with off the top of my head.
  15. I didn't know Division II players were even eligible. They're not. Texas A&M is in the Big 12, ranked in the top 20, and is playing LSU in the Cotton Bowl. really? learn something new every day. I'm always willing to help teach the girls about sports so they don't feel so stupid.

  17. Welcome to NSBB. Hope you enjoy your stay here.
  18. Texas A&M's Von Miller wins the Butkus Award. :clapping:
