  1. He's not a free swinger. He's a freak. He's doing all this with a broken hand
  2. I see it. Thanks. :) We should move it to the right, though
  3. Is there a way to mark all the posts as read in one click or do you have to do it forum-by-forum?
  4. He already is. He made an appearance with the Giants vs. the Astros in 2004(I think 2004). Well at least now we can say he played for us!
  5. He'll be # 1 on the alphabetical list of players in MLB history!! Hank Aaron, move on down
  6. I think part of his poor start is his work regimen. He needs to back off. He's working out 12-14 hours a day. He needs to cut back.
  7. I was on vacation in Aspen at the time, so I got the game on Rockies TV. It was nice to be able to watch a Cubs game there. The place I stayed at didn't have national WGN. And the Rockies broadcasters were like Wood will miss his next start with shoulder tendenitis
  8. If he plays long enough, he'll break Reggie Jackson's all time strikeout record. Dunn has only played 4.5 seasons and is already almost 1/3 of the way to Reggie's record. He'll definately have a shot if he doesn't get hurt but would need to average 150 a year for about 12 years to have a get the record. He'll definately shouldn't have problem getting into the top 10 or 20 though. He already has the single season strikeout record (altough Jose Hernandez would have it if his manager didn't sit him out the last week+ of the year). Personally, I would like to see Dunn go for 200 K's on the year. With 18 so far in 12 games that puts him on pace for 243 on the year. Let the Adam Dunn strikeout watch begin. In the three full seasons he has played his lowest single year total was 168. When you have an OBP of 400, it really doesn't matter how many times you K. I suppose. He walks a lot also. He's a freak. He played last season with a broken hand and he didn't get it fixed over the winter
  9. I think if the ball hits that elbow guard, it should be a ball
  10. Dunn is doing this with a broken hand, too.
  11. Lee>Pujols Q: Why does Edmonds always follow Pujols in the lineup? A: B/c crap always follows a poo-hole.
  12. If he plays long enough, he'll break Reggie Jackson's all time strikeout record. Doesn't that record belong to Sosa now? I know he was nearing the record. Nope. So-So was still 400 behind. Is Sosa second on the all-time list? Yeah. 2,194 K's

  14. If he plays long enough, he'll break Reggie Jackson's all time strikeout record.
  15. Who cares? More money for us
  16. Do you think we could swing Williams for Zito at the deadline? Oakland has a rotation 6-deep w/o Zito, and Williams is under team control for 4 more years after this. It would fit the moneyball scheme perfectly for Beane.
  17. Yeah. They need to do ab/oblique excersises.
  18. Murton hit a laser beem and he hit it at someone. Niefi is a free swinger and one of Dusty's toys.
  19. I bet he still thinks he's a HR hitter, and that since Adam Dunn is free swinger and can still hit 40 HR's w/ a broken hand, K-Pee can too.
  20. Barry Zito is a FA this winter. Knowing Beane and the Moneyball, he won't w/ Oakland next year. Do you think we go after him at the deadline or do we wait until the winter and sign him then? He'd be a great pick-up, since he's a good pitcher, and he's healthy
  21. I haven't read anything or seen anything about him, but I was wondering how he is doing
  22. It's different. White Sox fans hate the Cubs more than anything. They think the Cubs are their enemy. They root for AL teams over the Cubs, yet bitch at the Cubs at the end of the regular season if they finish w/in the number of games the Cubs lost to that team. "Cubs Suck" is the entire baseball vocabulary of White Sox fans. Rooting for the Sox to win isn't even # 1 on their agenda. The # 1 thing on their agenda is rooting against the Cubs.
  23. Ramirez. He's better than Rolen, but he needs to keep his legs/groin healthy
  24. I would. And I'd wear it on the middle finger to stick it to Cardinals and White Sox fans
  25. A Cubs-Cards NLCS would be the stuff of legend. Especially if the Cubs won. :D On a walk of grand slam by Barrett. No. Big Z slams them, with his arm and bat I think that'd piss them off more than an Edmonds slam beating us. Hell yeah!! It'd be my # 1 Cardinals hating moment, too!
