I'd be stunned if Heyward isn't playing RF tonight. Given that the Cubs are 4-41 lifetime against Kluber, Maddon is likely to put his best LH hitters in there with correlated splits. Bauer and Tomlin are inverse splits LH/RH so expect Contreras in LF when Montero catches Jake. In fact, I see it this way with what the Indians are doing: Game 1: C, Ross - LF, Zobrist - RF, Heyward Game 2: C, Montero - LF, Contreras - RF, Zobrist Game 3: C, Contreras - LF, Zobrist - RF, Heyward Regardless of splits, when you currently can't physically get the head of the bat around on Kenta Maeda's belt high inside fastball when everyone in the stadium knows it's coming, I'm penciling you in as a hopeless cause against Kluber.

If Maddon keeps this simple and goes with the "no regrets" lineup, the lineup least likely to have you kicking yourself over with the WS on the line, that would be my lineup for tonight.

Benching a hot bat coming off winning the NLCS MVP and one of the elite gloves in the game would be pretty historically dumb. Especially if it's to get Chris Coughlin more at bats.

Hard to see them moving Javy off of second at this point. I can't imagine any Cubs pitcher being happy with Javy not at 2B. Much less someone like Lester.

lmao i forgot about him. How ironic that he blocked me on twitter (before he was with the cubs) because i trolled him all teh time about how good javy baez was Parks loved Javy though. Now that we have a Javy vs. Lindor World Series, we can finally settle this once and for all.

Once upon a time, WGN broadcast 150 Cub games a year. I spent a lot of summers from 1983-1990 tuned in. I'd guess a lot of us here are Cub fans because of WGN. God bless WGN for that I'd like to think somewhere out there in the great unknown tonight, Arnie Harris still isn't picking up the check.

He just does not have the batspeed to get around on a low to mid 90s belt high fastball on the inside of the plate when everyone in the stadium knows it's coming. It's not something He is going to break out of. . If they value RF defense that much, play Almora. I'm beginning to think Dusty was ahead of his time for stubbornly playing Jose Macias so much in RF. -
