    I don't know if this is where this post belongs, but since it pertains to Fukudome, kind of, this is where I'm putting it. My sister-in-law is a student at IU. (Indiana) About a month ago, she asks me if I know who Will Carroll is and I say yeah he's a baseball guy (not wanting to bore her with the exact details because she wouldn't know the difference anyway) and she tells me he spoke in her journalism class and they talked and exchanged Facebook info. So last night I decide to email her and see if she can get some inside info from Will about the Cubs. And I swear to you this was her reply, He said: Cubs are working on a Japanese OF named Fukudome. WOW!!! Thanks for the inside info. ](*,)

    Okay maybe I'm over looking it, or just didn't go back enough, but someone posted a link that had all of this offseasons free agents. If I remember right you could sort by team, league, position, etc. Anyway if someone could point me in the direction of this post, it would be great. 8-[ Also, I obviously haven't posted in a while, uhhhh, what happened to the real NSBB? :-k Thanks, Wilmo

    Why is it that really dumb / bizarre things like this seem to happen to finely tuned professional athletes all the time? I have moved stuff in my house without have shoulder damage. I have walked around my house with no lights on and never tripped over a Playstation wire or tripped over my dog and torn up a knee or shoulder. (slides under desk as lightning will strike any second) I have never been washing a vehicle and slipped of it injuring myself. (oh wait neither has Jeff Kent) I'm not trying to be a tool here, but it just seems odd that these types of "accidents" happen all the time. Am I way off here, or does anyone else feel the same way?

    Did you forget Dusty is back? He'll make sure Rusch gets 3 years/19 mill So true. Hell the sad thing is Rusch could be #3 in Cincy.

    Wolf why can't all Cardinal fans be as easy to get along with as you are? I guess if they were it would take the fun out of hating them. btw Wolf where in the hell did the "Beer drinking German girl picture" go??? Let me just say I have NEVER been more embarrassed than I am right now :oops:...I have the exact same Mickey Mouse tattoo on my lower leg that the St. Louis Cardinal Hoosier fan has....And I am a Hoosier. Damn I guess the only difference is the Cubs. (HUGE DIFFERENCE) and I don't own that cool shirt he is wearing either. In my defense I did take a picture of a Cubs sticker that I would like to have "cover up" the Mickey tat....The more I type the more I sound like a hick. If I keep going I might end up being the guy in the picture. :pukel: :oops::oops::oops::oops::oops:

    Welcome to the site Rook. Man I thought I was just a "lurker" with my measly 100+ posts, but hell you been lurking for almost two years. As I'm sure you already know, this is the BEST website there is for Cubs talk and info. I really have learned more than I ever thought imaginable since I joined NSBB.

    I think A-Rod is a perfect fit for the "playoff" Cubs and our current group of "stars", if you know what I mean. Even though A-Rod sucks in the playoffs, don't get me wrong, he is still my most wanted free agent since....Well since Soriano last season. :P

    My wife and I are going Saturday. But we are having trouble finding a room for Saturday night. Closest we have found is about 5 to 7 miles from downtown. Not real far, but we really enjoy going out downtown after a Cubs win, err I mean after the game and throwing back a few. Any suggestions? I guess we could consider a taxi?

    I think Cincy already is Wrigley South when the Cubs are in town. Living in Indy and my wife calling herself a Reds fan we try to make it over for a few Cubs games every year. Reds fans may have us by numbers SOMETIMES, but they will never be louder than the Cubs fans. I bought tix for the Saturday night game hoping we might clinch that night. But by all means Cubbies, if you want to clinch before then, PLEASE DO!!!

    This was the toughest decision I made today, and I actually worked all day. :shrug: But there are so many good choices. My initial though was fat boy, but there is just something about Pink's boyfriend that irritates the crap out of me. I had to chuckle after I voted and found I was in the majority...for now.

    I like it, the obvious thing I see is you might struggle during the Bengals bye week, but other than that, looks good. I assume Gore 1st, Rudi 2nd, and Chad 3rd. If so, I really like Chad in the 3rd round. Edge 4th? and TJ 5th? I agree with dropping Mare and probably find one more WR. Nice team

    I don't really listen to the Arizona announcers, so I can't really speak on the subject. But do you think the Cubs player bashing comes from the announce team being irritated that over half of their home crowd is cheering for the Cubs every time the Cubs make a trip to Phoenix? I don't know this for fact just my initial thought?
