I think the OF, the teams offense for that matter, is almost exclusively dependent on Pierre getting back into form. I don't think Murton will struggle, but I don't believe he will amount to what many on here expect of him, at least this season anyway. Regarding Pierre, I don't know how many times I was cursing this team for not getting on base and providing opportunities for Lee and Ramirez, whenever ARam didn't play due to a hang-nail. I still believe that was the overriding detriment to last years team. If we can get the Pierre of old this season, and get at least average production out of Lee, and largely, the rest of the lineup the offense will be fine. Pitching is another story. I think pitching will have to exceed their past performances as a whole, and I stress "past performances" because I did not want to use the term potential. We all know they have potential. I know I said before last season, this Kerry's make-or-break year, but injuries hindered that. I think this year really is his make-or-break year. He got the surgery, should have sufficient time for recovery. Prior needs to step up. Hopefully, Maddux won't frusturate me so much this year. But overall, I think if they do get a little above-average pitching and steady offense, with a particularly strong year from Pierre, this team will take the Central.
