  1. rapada will be replaced by Thomas Atlee.
  2. wooohooo rapada comes back with a K to end the inning. by the way, Shaver in relief of Hagerty has been dynamite! 4.2 IP nothing given up 0BB, 8K.
  3. Rapada has walked the bases loaded, not too sharp...
  4. good assesment craig...it is an oppurtunity to move someone as opposed to letting Hagerty struggle every time out... by the way... 3R HR off of Billek, 5-1 QC
  5. Ouch Plus the 2 HBP, this is not good for Hagerty, if there was speculation of Veal being at Daytona to start the year, it is far fetched, but someone might go up to Daytona (not necessarily Veal) to make room for a certain young lefty from Utah @ Peoria.
  6. West Tenn 1 Tenn 1 Top 4 Miguel Montero, RBI Single to tie it
  7. Hagerty is out of the game in Daytona, very discouraging for Hagerty, the question is, how much patience will the Cubs have with him...Hagerty, 1.1IP, 1H, 3R, 1ER, 4BB, 2K 15.00 ERA.
  8. If Gallagher is in fact in the 90s and approaching the mid 90s at times, his value has skyrocketed. With his control he would be deadly in the low to mid 90s. Can anyone confirm that his is throwing this hard?
  9. Top 6 West Tenn 0 Tennessee 0 Marmol 5IP, 1H, 0R, 0ER, 1BB, 8K, Walker 2-3 Patterson 1-3, SB Montanez 1-2, 2B
  10. Jon is right... As we said, it is simply to keep mechanics in line...if your mechanics are off it is harder than it looks to hit the glove (some use a flat hand). This helps to repeat the delivery and get extension towards home as well. The way it is done is that the receiver (guy with hand/glove extended) walks off about 5-10 steps (depending on pitcher) from where the pitcher's landing foot touches ground. The receiver then extends their hand out at about eye level while kneeling...If you have time yourself or have a young kid that could do it, have them try it out, it is more dificult to hit the hand cleanly than it looks.

  19. I am sure he is yes. I know it has sort of become a joke in the Cubs organization, but the towel drill is a very important drill for pitchers to work on keeping their mechanics in line.
  20. Do you need to ban a guy who pretty much banned himself? Yes, because if he cleans up his act, I am sure someone would be willing to give him some sort of job at some level of a major league organization. I just dont think he should get to even sniff that possibility.
  21. I will be out now until later this evening...JonMDavis to take over? :D
