Is Texas really that much of a better job than FSU or OSU? I am not trying to have a big comparison, I would just think that the money and ability to compete are similar to Texas Yeah, Meyer is 24-1 at OSU (and that's not likely to get much worse, as the big ten isn't terribly tough right now), is originally from Toledo and doesn't even have to leave his state to recruit if he doesn't want to. What's the incentive to go to Texas? Texas was the job Meyer wanted after Florida more so that OSU. But I agree the job is not that much better. However I would say that Texas is more than a few steps better than FSU from an entire Athletic Dept standpoint. Financially they are much better off. The reason Fisher has been considered a favorite is that he is supposedly very unhappy with the university president. Not to mention he would get a very nice raise. Meyer wanted the Texas job in the same way he wanted the ND job. I definitely think Fisher and Malzahn are the most likely of those listed above. Do UT folks think Briles isn't big time enough? I have no problem with Briles. I think they just want someone who has a little more history in winning and carrying a major program. I think he is the next guy on that list and is really the same as Malzahn.

The names I've heard are Jimbo Fisher, Malzahn, Harbaugh, and Urban Meyer. With Fisher being the favorite based on being the most likely to be picked and accept the job. Harbaugh might be the 1st choice based on preference and might be offered $8 million per. However it goes I don't think we will have an announcement till January unless Meyer becomes the 1st choice.

Little to no doubt that Jameis Winston is a better person that johnny manziel What's this based on? At the very least jameis boned a blacked out chick in a bathroom and then dropped her off on a random corner after. Other than sign autographs and potentially take some cash what did manziel do? you think manziel hasn't had sex with a wasted chick about 184 times in his life? Anyway, who would you rather bet your life on staying out of trouble the next 15 years? I'll take Winston. I doubt either one does something crazy and ends up in jail, but Manziel is gonna cause so many more headaches for his team, and his talent just isnt worth it, compared to an actual prospect like Winston. Manziel has already been in jail and pled guilty, and just based on family history it will probably happen again.

I don't see that really happening, even if it does the public support for Brown is so low and it really won't affect other potential hires especially with the amount some will get paid.

He's 9 wins from most in Texas history, right? He ain't resigning. Resigning = forced out here. Doesn't really matter, Joe Jamail is work in his exit payout as his contract doesn't pay the buyout if he resigns. I wish my job paid me to leave.

Please let this happen. Just for the entertainment value and shakeup. I'd prefer Mack Brown stay. No, no, no, no. I've been waiting for this day for too long. And it's still not officially here. Feel like I could still get burned. If it's not Saban they have put out feelers to Jim Harbaugh too. Either one would be the richest coach in football if they accepted it. Still just have to get rid of Brown first.

Also hope that Germany picks up some yellows in the first two games to key players so they sit them out for the third. Missing Ozil would be very nice. I wonder if Sir Alex is wanting to come out of retirement. ManU missing out of Europe would be awesome. Chelsea also losing and City dropping points make this a good morning.
