  1. Thinking about it between Cubs and Yankee games you might be looking at over 500,000 tickets and with a limit of 4 per email is 125,000 offers. Capacity is 37,402. The Red Sox cap season tickets at 21,500. The difference of 15,902 times 12 is 190,824. That has to be considered the absolute most tickets that will be made available. Likely far fewer. Ahh. I was think it was just over 40,000 and forgot all about the season ticket holders.

  3. How much does a tampering fine go for nowadays. [expletive] it, someone from the organization should how much they think Albert is worth.
  4. Blake Griffin won't even watch this Oklahoma team.
  5. It's hilarious because he claims the reason he got mad is because the Tottenham coach was trash talking him during the match. But Gattuso didn't shut his mouth the entire game and nobody on Tottenham flipped out like he did. As for Arsenal, great comeback today. It actually gives them a chance in the tie, though I think Barcelona wins by two or three in the Nou Camp in a couple weeks. But if they play well and things go right, they could easily advance. They can't let Messi put up 4 goals again. :-)
  6. I'm in too. I'm curious as to what the tickets are going for, even at this point its probably going to be difficult to buy them.
  7. Peter Crouch is one lanky mother f'er. I think I had bigger thighs when I was 13. I really hate Gattuso, I wish de Jong would jumpkick his ass.
  8. Perhaps next La Russa can blame the Tides Foundation? Maybe Soros? That aside, the implication from La Russa is that Pujols' camp is being unreasonable in their demands, and Albert is not that kind of guy, so someone (MLBPA) must be coercing him. If the reality, as it appears to be, is that Pujols' team is negotiating absent of explicit, external pressure, does not the substance of La Russa's gripe become "Pujols is asking for too much"? This season could be an interesting one to watch in St. Louis. Never underestimate TLR's ability to hold a grudge. Plus he will be able to use this as his blame for his upcoming drinking and DWI.
  9. Your not alone, but I was trying to reclaim my title in being the last one to pay. I actually found a stamp the other day, so thats a good start towards mailing something. I'm going to try to get this out today.
  10. I forgot all about him, this is now my primary reason for wanting Pujols. Though he might go on a killing spree at his local Walmart prior to making the video.
  11. No, he just called a press conference for himself days after everyone else committed. It's still a douche move for an 18 year old Or he had not made a decision, nothing says you have to commit by signing day. They would have had a press conference for him regardless of what day he committed. good point. he didn't have nearly enough time in the 2 years (or more) that he was being recruited. But with an extra 7-10 days, he was finally able to wrap his head around this decision. Well considering he said he was planning on going to Clemson a couple of weeks back, yeah he might need to take a couple of extra days. What exactly is wrong with that? I would much rather see that than the the guy who decommits a couple of days prior to signing day or flops back and forth with his commitment.

  13. I was glad Texas didn't end up #1. Now they get to go to Nebraska as the #2 on Saturday.
  14. Damn, that alone should earn him a few starts.
  15. cam newton...reggie bush...money...cam newton...reggie bush...money. what is it that ties these things together in my mind? Has Newton banged Kim Kardashian yet?
  16. Oh wow, really? See I'm just rooting for him to not be a Cardinal. The idea of him being a Cub seems so ridiculous that I just can't even let myself entertain the notion. If he stays a Cardnial I am rooting for him to get every penny he is worth, hopefully in the range of 8-10 years for $35 million per.
  17. Hmm, he is not the 1st choice that I would have thought of. I have heard this morning that Akina is actually on his way back to Texas already.
  18. Just saw it myself. Wow. Rooney made up for an entire season on one strike.
  19. Yeah I just saw that and if true that sucks. Texas 1st Junior Day is tomorrow. I can't blame him for maybe taking that money, but its going to kill any chance he has at becoming the DC at Texas in the next 2-3 years. He turned down a raise from Pete Carroll and more money to go back to Texas so I am not sold on him taking the job. Either way this could be going full circle between us as if he leave I am guessing Willie Mack Garza is next in line and who I would love to bring back to Texas. I almost prefer him over Gray. I've lost track of Willie Mack. I know he followed Lane to USC, but I don't know if he's still there or if he went elsewhere. Also not completely sold on Gray, but the secondary was excellent while he was in Nashville previously (as DB coach). As a DB coach I think he is perfect. Willie Mack is still at USC too.
  20. Signing 92 players over 3 years with only 55% of the players still on the team today is mind boggling. Hell, signing 92 players in 3 years is crazy enough itself. I really hate the practices in the SEC. The NCAA really needs to step in on this issue.

  22. I have no idea if this is true, but if so its fucked up. http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/02/06/sources-thomas-went-to-oregon-over-safety-concerns-for-him-family/
  23. If he hasn't signed there needs to be a collective effort to cheer for him as much as possible. Something organizied by the fans prior to every Cards game.
  24. Sure. But after the season, Pujols could easily want to see what's out there in free agency land. It's much safer to get him locked up now. It could very well cost them an additional $30 million if it happens after the season.
  25. The Dutch put up some pretty goals yesterday. Sneijder's was very nice, the Elia pass on the 2nd was sweet.
