    Cardinals loose another guy in the pen, although it was not a big loss he still pitched alot of innings. Cubs in my opinion have one of the best bullpen's in the league. That is if everyone can pitch to their potential.

    I wish the Cubs would of signed this kid. I played against him, he is the real deal. His numbers at rookie ball include 10 strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA in 6 innings.

    Lugo had a .968 fielding% last year, and a .963 the year before. Yeah Shortstops get alot of chances but a .966 carrer % does not suit well for me.

    I would like to see Julio Lugo's speed, not his defense though. I believe Jim will sign Alex Gonzalez (not the one who cost the Cubs game 6) he will come cheap and plays good defense. Just what Jim is looking for.

    Clement is not even an option for the Cubs. In September of 04 the Cubs didnt even want him to pitch. He is a horrible second half pitcher, and he is medicore at best.

    Is Jim out of his mind? This signing would not help the Cubs at all. He cannot play the field and plus he strikeouts too much for a pinch hitter.
