  1. Game. Brewers win again.
  2. Who cares about the sox.
  3. Hardy left the game with some kind of injury.
  4. 5-0 Brewers in the bottom of the 3rd. 6-0 Brewers.....5 rbi's for Hall Dagger.
  5. The Padres have Chris Young and Greg Maddux, who are going to kill any catcher's throwing stats
  6. Well, Maddux doesn't give a rip about baserunners taking an extra bag, so one of Barrett's glaring weaknesses in a lot of peoples' eyes isn't a concern. Peavy and Barrett are really good friends. Maddux never wanted Barrett to catch him; it only happened upon Dusty's insistence. Maddux needs a defensive catcher to help stop the runners he doesn't hold on... Maddux gives his catcher no chance to throw out a runner with his huge leg kick.
  7. I think Hendry has always had the desire to have a solid defense up the middle. So for some reason he signs the likes of Todd Walker and Michael Barrett? Then again, Hendry really does not have a plan.
  8. I think Hendry has always had the desire to have a solid defense up the middle.
  9. Willis is not the same type of pitcher he was a couple of years ago. Fastball has been from 85-91 in the first inning, slider does not have the same bite it once had, and it looks like he is not getting all the extension he used to be able to get.
  10. I'll go with Andy on this one.
  11. Kendall 2004: 20.7 LD%, .340 BABIP 2005: 22.0 LD%, .290 BABIP 2006: 23.9 LD%, .326 BABIP 2007: 19.5 LD%, .249 BABIP Pretty similiar.
  12. One of the guys i would be interested in replacing Barrett for is Napoli. Napoli .243/.341/.454/.785, 25 yrs old and threw out 31% of runners last year (although he has sucked at 20% this year) in 48 games. Also only 2 PBs in 716 innings last year, 1 in 406 this year. v. Barrett .252/.305/.427/.732, 30 yr old FA in 50 games. 10 PB in 852 innings last year, 8 in 466 this year. Angels pitching staff isnt that much different than the Cubs...fastball/slider city. Doesnt look like much of an upgrade to me. Maybe the Angels go for it, but i think they would be crazy. Napoli is not going to be traded.
  13. I'd consider giving up Guzman, but not Marshall. Why would they want a guy with elbow problems?
  14. Zambrano is a stud.
  15. His defensive and offensive skills seem to be on the decline. Now would be the time to trade him if you want anything of value in return. Then again, being that he is going to be a FA after this year, i really don't see the Cubs getting anything better than a B prospect in return. And that is even pushing it.
