  1. Fielder didn't start for Milwaukee today either... :-k Wow, looks like a lot of teams are involved in this trade!  Hmmm Would the Brewers trade Fielder to the Cubs? "//:D/" Where would he play? SS.
  2. Cubs are not going to trade DeRosa. How do you know? It would make sense for both sides as DeRosa is versatile enough to be useful to them when Utley returns. Do you have something to back up that statement, or is that just your opinion? It's just common sense. DeRosa has been a very valuable player for the Cubs this year.
  3. Linebrink away from Petco: 6.05 ERA .313 BAA 5HR 25 hits in 19.1 IP.
  4. So he's looking pretty good? He looks like a totally different person with the amount of weight he lost. It is really hard to tell after just one inning of work. It will be interesting to seem him pitch on back to back days. I wouldn't be shocked if his fastball on the second day was sitting in the mid 80's. He needs to build up some arm strength before he comes back. Probably another 2-3 weeks of rehab would be my guess.
  5. Nice. Hopefully we'll get a report on how fast he was throwing. 91-94 Yep, he topped out at 94 and his slowest pitch was at 89. He only threw one breaking ball tonight which was at 81. Overall, I thought he looked good. It's not really the easiest thing to judge a pitcher when he's just coming off an injury and hardly throwing any breaking balls. We'll definitely be able to gauge him better on the back-to-back days he throws on Thursday and Friday. On another note, Blanco did not look very good at all behind the plate tonight. I think tonight was his first game back behind the plate and he looked extremely slow and sluggish. Peoria scored their first two runs when Blanco was batting, but that should have been a DP to end the inning as the 2B just completely missed the play. He has a long way to go before he is close to ready. I was real impressed with some of the younger guys...Barney looked real good. Canzler had a couple of 2 out RBI's as well. Thanks again to Karen for the tickets. O'Brien Field is a real nice stadium and Peoria looks to have a good team in the 2nd half of the Midwest League. Barney is my guy. Reached base four times tonight. Blanco was not the only one who looked slow and sluggish. Ernie Banks looked like he had a couple of beers before he came to the park today.
  6. Just got back from the game. Wood was consistently in the 90-92 range with his fastball. His best fastball was at 94mph. He threw one slider that was at 81 with some bite on it. His fastball ranged from 89-94.
  7. Don't you have a wife and a kid? http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/neglect If you'd find some personality, you might be able to have one too. You mean the daughter I never see b/c I'm too busy posting 30,000+ times? I see my daughter plenty. Took her to the zoo this afternoon after the Cubs game. We had a great time. Would you like to see pics? Absolutely. I think everyone is looking forward to them. Probably as much as we are your next post. That is the best thing you can come up with? Yeah. I'm only up to JUCO level posting today. It's an upgrade over your Captain Obvious posting.

  10. He doesn't have to retire. He could simply take 2 months off and become a free agent at the end of the year. He can control where he does (or does not) go. And how many teams would take a gander on him next offseason if he showed that kind of attitude. He practically had to beg Texas to get the job he got this year because there were concerns about his attitude. He's been close to a model citizen this year; I doubt he throws it all away because he may have reduced AB's over two months. There will always be somebody willing give him a chance. Washington last year, Texas this year and I am sure next year another bad team going nowhere will offer him a chance for a job. Cincinnati?
  11. Jaws was not in Goldeneye... he was in The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker idiot. :P My bad. I just remember him being in the 007 Goldeneye video game. Very solid game.
  12. That's gotta be a joke How about Jones for Bonderman?
  13. Marshall looks a lot like Jaws from Goldeneye. http://www.bondmovies.com/henchmen/jaws.jpg
  14. Bad stat. Decent outing. I liked watching Rich throw that change today. Im glad he decided to start throwing it. Instead of throwing a curve in a 2-1 count when the batter knows he will throw one, he can now throw his change and get hitters to ground out to the 3B and 1B.
  15. I wouldn't even need to "predict" it. I know it would happen.
  16. All the time.
  17. :lmao: With quality posts like that, no wonder why you have 8,000 post per day. :lmao: You should show more respect to the top poster around here. The voters have spoken. You are not the top poster around here.
