Nice. Hopefully we'll get a report on how fast he was throwing. 91-94 Yep, he topped out at 94 and his slowest pitch was at 89. He only threw one breaking ball tonight which was at 81. Overall, I thought he looked good. It's not really the easiest thing to judge a pitcher when he's just coming off an injury and hardly throwing any breaking balls. We'll definitely be able to gauge him better on the back-to-back days he throws on Thursday and Friday. On another note, Blanco did not look very good at all behind the plate tonight. I think tonight was his first game back behind the plate and he looked extremely slow and sluggish. Peoria scored their first two runs when Blanco was batting, but that should have been a DP to end the inning as the 2B just completely missed the play. He has a long way to go before he is close to ready. I was real impressed with some of the younger guys...Barney looked real good. Canzler had a couple of 2 out RBI's as well. Thanks again to Karen for the tickets. O'Brien Field is a real nice stadium and Peoria looks to have a good team in the 2nd half of the Midwest League. Barney is my guy. Reached base four times tonight. Blanco was not the only one who looked slow and sluggish. Ernie Banks looked like he had a couple of beers before he came to the park today.
