Does it get any worse than 2005 for Cubs fans? Three biggest rivals all make the playoffs, with at least one of them guaranteed to win the world series. Then the winner of the world series is the crosstown rivals. The pathetic mayor of Chicago all over everything with his congrats and praise. That was horrible. Whatever bad happens to the sox, they deserve. -

He wasn't in the tourney. That was a cards fan. No, he was in the tourney, I remember that he lost by a huge margin. There was more than one non-Cub fan in the tourney. EDIT: 5th place. Too wordy. The circumstances were more than a little fishy given past hoaxes on this site, but at this point it looks like I owe you an apology redsfan for being too rash. Good job. As do I. Got Fabian Jiminez (out of the organization) and Joel Santo (doing ok at high-A, had a solid start for Daytona today) for Williamson. Got Adam Harben for Phil Nevin, he's out for the season with TJS. Got Jose Ceda for Todd Walker - he looked good but is in Mesa with a shoulder injury (no surgery). ugh. Not a good track record there.

Slightly off topic...but didn't we get 2-3 A ball pitchers last year in deadline trades? Scott Williamson was traded, someone else that I can't recall. Were any of those A ball arms worth anything?
