    Wuertz has looked bad. It's making the Howry signing look even better. Last year, had Wuertz performed like that, I would have been worried. Now, with Dempster closing and Howry, Eyre, Williamson, and Ohman ahead of Wuertz in the pen, his role is not nearly as important. If no one gets hurt, this should be a pretty good pen, especially when compared to last year. That's a big IF though. And if they pitch well, that's an important if too. Pitching, much like the Big-10 is overrated. :wink:

    I agree about the media, but in the most recent case he was on the radio and I happened to hear it. I listen to sports talk radio every day in my 1+ hour commute. Walker was a semi-regular on the Mack-Jerko and Harry show last year. At times he does get egged on though. I don't want this to turn into another Walker/Hairston thread.

    Yes because people's mouths (whatever that means) have such an impact on the game on the field. BeerPrediction: Hairston gets the nod at 2B and Walker demands a trade.

    I completely agree. Decent speed, good D and he plays a few positions as well. What Walker brings to the table offensively he more than gives up with his mouth.

    Apologies I really only get involved at tourny time. March Madness is a lot of fun expecially if you can get into some office pools etc. I'm not a basketball fan, but the NCAA tournament is too much fun to pass up.

    I don't know how to judge that. Pitching results in the Cactus League are pretty pointless. Especially for those who rely on breaking balls. I didn't know that my wife was pitching in Mesa. Thanks I'll be here all night. And be sure to tip your waitress.
