    I've been to two SKC games now (both this season). I've had similar thoughts at both. There is a lot of downtime during the game, for sure. But the atmosphere is pretty great. Maybe it was not so great the time we went, but if I want to see people stand behind the goals and act like morons I'd rather go to a NCAA basketball game. I know one of those guys. I don't know how they have voices after those games. In fairness, one of the games I went to was against Cruz Azul, and the large number of opposing fans and the nationalistic factor ramped up the crowd quite a bit. The second one, a dreadful draw against Toronto, wasn't nearly as fun.

    If his knee was causing his issues, and frankly his biggest issue was being slower than Handzus, he could have to value to the team. And he better since I doubt anyone is going to take that contract.

    He's absolutely right about Regin. Here's my question, which is more from my bad memory and too much hockey watched in the last five years -- in the Q era, what players have been brought in mid-season and actually put to good use and excelled under Q down the stretch?

    I think in a rage fit in Game 3 or 4 I compared him to M.A. Fleury. Could be a similar situation. I just don't see why they had to give him six years. Was anyone else going to give him that contract? Not likely. That said, the truly standout goalies in the league are few and far between. Look at Quick, one of those guys. We torched him. Crow is definitely in that next group right below the elite guys.

    In the regular season that stunt by Quick might have been called. He could argue he was just trying to help repair that divot.
