Typical Cubs/Cards tilt. Do blowouts ever happen when these two teams play. I think I remeber a game in 98 where the Cards scored a bajillion runs in the first inning but that's about all I can remember. We were blowing them out the one year up 8 I think and proceeded to lose on Pujols' 3rd bomb. Taguchi of all people went deep too, what an awful game that was. Yeah, but in another game Neifi hit a grand slam in extra innings against the Cards, so it balances out. That one was absolutely freaking awesome. It was about 114 degrees at Busch that day and I thought we were going to die. Nice effort LUDWICK!

Last year, the Saturday game before Hancock did his thing, we won I think 9-1 here. That was a fun day at the ballpark.

Funny thing is, although Drake's strike zone isn't the best, it's the first-base ump who is awful. But at least he's not mouthing off and injecting himself into the game. MLB needs to get rid of umps like this guy...it's Brenly's common rant. The ump who stares at the dugout and follows after a guy has no place in the game.
