    It would be weird having the Marlins get a star player from the Red Sox. It would also be lovely to have Bay out of the division. Especially before this weekend. We must sweep them if this happens. No Laroche, Bay and Nady gone. Who is the lineup after McPIA?

    Villone is good for a ding-dong. That guy's pants are on fire most nights out there. Too bad about leaving those two out there, D-Ro, but obviously feeling pretty good if Demp can get through the heart in the 6th without drama.

    It really would. There is no way they re-sign him this offseason now that Boras actually has some doesn't results to market. And they aren't catching either of the Cubs or Brewers. It's just not going to happen. But I don't think a rookie GM is going to pull the trigger on what would be such an unpopular move unless ownership forces him to.

    Not having CSN (or it would have been yesterday), today is the first day this season I'm thinking about nothing else but going home and watching the game tonight. And if they win, I'll probably skip out on my firm's softball game tomorrow to watch that game. Does that mean I'm not a team player?

    ^My favorite part was while the old ladies in the stands started chanting "let's play ball," the loudest guy on the video, the one doing all the hilarious swearing, goes, "No! Let's not!"

    My main complaint, and I know I'm not alone in this, is that the HRD is way too damn long. Have they made any changes to the format to shorten it up?

    NO!!!! Keep him under 100 pitches, rest him 5 to 6 days between start and we should have a great chance in the playoffs. Yeah, let him get 10 Ks and qualify for the win. That's good enough for me.
