Is there a separate PGA Tour thread? At any rate, Tiger is back! Birdied the first hole he played, of course.
  2. Clemmenson sent back to AHL today with Brodeur back up. Have to think he'll be feeling the pressure.
  3. There's only one of us here who blindly trashes the refs every night.   Well the refs would tackle and cover Sidney Crosby like the Secret Service... and Godard would beat the crap out of Toews. Haha. You ruined the suspense, cuz you're right, that's exactly what would happen.
  4. There's only one of us here who blindly trashes the refs every night. But last night I think it can objectively be said that they were awful. That call on Ladd was indefensible. There were a few other tripping calls where there was nothing more than a swipe of the stick across the shins. That is not enough to send an NHL skater flailing to the ice. I thought the call on Huet was legit. There was no reason for him to do what he did, though I like my goalies to have a bit of a mean streak in them. I wish we didn't have three days to stew about this one, but I'm really looking forward to Friday night. Sid and Toews drop 'em. Who ya got?
  5. I'm really hoping I get sent to Phoenix for work next month. Will definitely try to stay an extra day and see a game.
  6. Everyone ends up with 41 and 41 Of course, I was commenting on the fact that no other team, to this point in the season, has played that many road games. I haven't checked but, I'm guessing it has something to do with the recent availability of the United Center. However, for me, it's better to accuse the NHL of some sort of conspiring against the Blackhawks. In the olden days, I really did believe Wirtz has pissed off the NHL and that they worked against him. Now the league is smart enough to know it needs the Hawks to be good. If anything, I could see other teams accusing us of having the league in our pocket. If anything, the schedule has been a positive. This team is in great position and now has a ton of home games ahead of it.
  7. Embarassing. But DM is right. This was a team loss. Where were Kane and Toews all night? Havlat looked good, and Ladd and Bolland did too. But few other guys had much of jump out there at all. Get well Khabi!
  8. No doubt, though I'm not terribly worried about that at this point.
  9. What in the hell is Huet doing laying on the ice? Awful. Absolutely freaking awful. He's been good lately, even if not terribly challenged in most games. We can't have crap like this in late April.
  10. but we've still got those makeup calls coming, right? No kidding. Usually the refs realize at some point that they are jobbing one side or the other and fix it. These guys are apparently too stupid to do so.
  11. This is absolutely ridiculous. Refs should be ashamed of themselves.
  12. Any kind of good shift here and we will get a PP.
  13. This is just getting ridiculous now.
  14. Cyno's gonna be pissed when he sees this one. Only good thing we should have a few makeup calls coming our way.
  15. Yeah, just rewound and watched. It was him. And another soft one for Huet.
  16. Wow, another point-blank chance for Nashville. Unbelievable. And Erat just beat Campbell. He's had a nice offensive-zone game, but pretty bad on the other end.
  17. Weak second goal for Nashville. Lucky bounce off the boards, D fell asleep and Huet didn't seem to be paying attention.
  18. There we go! Credit for that one to Versteeg for the great rush and Buff and Eager, both for their work in the corner and for getting in front to screen Rinne. That's been their best line out there tonight.
  19. Hawks are just a step slow tonight. Good thing Nashville is offensively challenged.
  20. *snore* Not much doing in the 1st.
  21. We are going against Pekka Rinne. Another "no name"... he's 6'5" and extremely flexible. He covers a lot of the net and has an incredibly quick stick. This kind of goalie is the bane for the way the Hawks play... you really only have top left and right shelf... Just get Kane or Havlat open in the slot and let them fire away. His height might take away the high options though.
  22. OV is unbelievable. Washington's first goal tonight was four seconds into a PP. Big wind up and then a perfect pass to Backstrom who had nothing but open net in front of him.
  23. I definitely expect Eager to get into the action tonight. Hopefully he get on the scoresheet too. Just another division game they should win. Maybe they just need to get back on the road to get on another winning streak.
