  1. Dammit Campbell! He did the exact same thing last week! See that! That's the net! Bury it!
  2. Okay, the Isles have one good player. One. And he gets all that open ice.
  3. This is unbelievable. Stupid penalties.
  4. This is the first game I've watched in awhile where I thought the Hawks were clearly superior to their opponent. I think since the TB game (even when Stamkos went nuts). And apparently we are going on the kill. Yeah, Eager was a little dirty there.
  5. Welcome back, Nik. Meet your crappy defense.
  6. Mannino isn't setting the world on fire here. The Hawks just aren't putting tough chances on him, save for that quick side-to-side passing sequence on their first PP. He hasn't made any other tough saves.
  7. I thought they would be getting a PP. Their goon was starting [expletive] in there for no reason.
  8. Isles announcers (thanks WGN!) seem to agree that call is a crock.
  9. Campbell cannot be trusted on that back line. Q should really consider sitting him a game.
  10. That is so stupid. What is Kane thinking? Do it once, okay. But again? Stupid.
  11. Isles are giving a goalie (Mannino?) his first NHL start today. I'm ready to call this one a must win if the Hawks want to hold the 4th seed.
  12. I haven't seen this yet, but Richards isn't getting any benefit of the doubt from me. In other news, Detroit squashed St. Louis again today. The Blues have been right on the doorstep of a good winning streak a few times recently and have run into Detroit. Last time it was 5-0. Today, 5-2.
  13. What else is new, lol. You know it's sad when your highly paid defenceman gets booed every time he touches the puck. Oh yea, Toews chipped 3 of Kane's teeth last night when they collided. Put the damn mouth guard where it's supposed to be, Patrick. He was going to learn that lesson sooner or later. I suppose Eager should have gone over and whipped Toews' ass, right?
  14. I caught the first two periods on the radio and the highlights just now on NHL Live. Murray was down on Huet's play pretty harshly. Rebound control, crease awareness, etc. Very critical. We need Khabi to get hot starting Sunday and perhaps give his d-men some confidence.
  15. I like starting Huet tonight and then getting Khabi back into the action against a far inferior Isles team. Bummed I'm gonna miss this one. Should be tough, physical division game. Being at home and building on the last win, I'm calling Hawks 4-2.
  16. Another great home win for the Blues tonight vs. San Jose. I don't know what it is about these guys, but with the exception of the Wings they play the top teams the hardest. Just two points out of a playoff spot as of right now. Wow.
  17. Terrible, but not surprising.
  18. I don't know how easily they could have succeeded in making that money grab. In this economy, a price freeze is practically a must for discretionary spending. Every game has been 100% sold out this year. They have a STH waiting list. They definitely could have raised prices. If they raised ticket prices $5 each, it would net them, conservatively, $4.5M.
  19. Another great move by the organization, freezing season ticket prices for both current and new buyers: http://blackhawks.nhl.com/team/app/?service=page&page=NewsPage&articleid=413515 They very easily could have made a money grab with the way this team is coming together. Not only is it easy to love this team, it's easy to love the organization. It's still weird to say.
  20. I thought Versteeg had a good game in the parts that I watched. He was everywhere on ice and probably should've had more than the one goal he had in regulation. Versteeg and maybe even Brouwer were also decent. Still, Huet won that game for the Hawks. Seabrook was a beast, but I agree. Huet was very solid and he needed to be.
