8 points is okay for this roadtrip. 10 points would be great for this roadtrip. 12 points would be incredible for this roadtrip. I think Q's measuring stick was 8 for okay, and double digits would be great. Agreed.

^Pretty funny quotes there. I also read some interesting quotes from Kane in the Daily Herald, talking about being Kesler's teammate on the olympic team. He basically said it wouldn't be easy and it's just a few weeks and he'll deal with it.

lollllll. i like i said in my post during the game, kesler is a bitch. ladd stuck him with a left and kesler turtled and then lifted him up nd took him down so he wouldnt have to fight. god i hate that team so much In fairness, if I just got blasted with a left in the eye, I'd probably go down too. If Kesler hadn't done that, Ladd might still be pounding fists into his yap. But, if Kesler is so pissed off and thinks Ladd wronged him, you gotta stand up for yourself and be a bit tougher than that.

Niemi starting again tonight, per the Trib. He has to know how important this start is for him. Here's hoping he responds well to the pressure.

Not really. He was an old dude who missed a ton of time with the Blackhawks already and only had a good season when he split time 50/50. He wasn't coming back on a 1 year deal, and Huet was unmovable. It was never a rational option. Of course. I was just saying that notwithstanding the contract situations, I think we all would have wanted Khabi back over Huet this year. But yeah, not for more than a year.

Was able to catch the Ottawa radio feed on satellite last night. Their announcers were so useless it was hard to get any feel for what was actually going on. You'd think they would have good radio people up there. But they did point out it was the third in four for the Hawks and that their goalie was fortunate on a couple of occasions.

Annnndddd now I come to find out Berto pulled out of the Mosley fight because of the earthquake. I knew he was originally from Haiti but didn't really put it together. So, now boxing officially sucks for this year.

I can't say I would have paid for it, though it's always a toss-up for me. I can either spend the $60 and invite friends over and make them bring the beer and food. Or I can go to a bar, pay the $10 cover (which they only charge for big fights) and then drink/eat at least $50. Andre Berto is probably the only fighter I'm really interested in right now. Will be very interested to see how he handles Mosley next weekend.

Clearly Grace and Sammy didn't get along. Sammy was a primadonna, and you can call Grace a d-bag, but I don't think anyone ever doubted he was a team player. I liked Grace then and I'd side with him now. -
In fairness, that doesn't happen all that often. Maybe a couple times a year when a guy is absolutely robbed. Happened to Malignaggi earlier this year against...drawing a blank...Diaz? The biggest problems are the two already noted here -- too many commissions and belts and the backwards television setup. No other sport makes it's biggest events the most difficult and expensive to watch.

In what way? he kept all those HR and RBI for himself bastard The guy had a bad attitude. Did I appreciate his production? Yeah. But I can separate the two. The one example I can recall is when Sammy went on the DL and teammates said in the media what they are supposed to say, "we are fighting hard and doing the things we need to do and winning while Sammy is out." That sort of thing. Someone told Sammy about it, and his response in the media was anger in the nature of "THEY NEED ME!"
