Ohno shouldn't have been DQ'd. His hand was on the guy, but he didn't appear to push him at all. It looked like the guy just lost an edge. I guess if the rules say touching a guy means a DQ, but I'm sure that's not the case. I gave up on the Canadian/Slovak game last night when it was 2-0. The Slovaks honestly didn't appear to be showing a lot of effort, couldn't break out of their own zone and just looked terrible. I can't believe they came back and almost tied it.

That's why the good Lord invented sports bars. And they aren't all on versus. Most of the first two rounds will be on CSN. But I will probably freak out if Directv doesn't have the Versus dispute taken care of by playoff time.

I think they just had a horrible collapse. A lot of defensive breakdowns and poor goaltending. I think after the first 3 goals, they were shell shocked as they just piled on. I love that they just now finished reporting the barrage of goals for team USA Excellent. I wonder if the Canadian fans wanted a rematch against us or if they felt they had a better chance to beat the Finns.

The only people pulling that crap are the curmudgeon STHers that are now pissed off that they don't have entire rows to themselves. I sometimes wonder if they care more about that than feeling special. For what, I don't know. I won't begrudge any Hawks fan who gave up on them during what I call The Dark Ages. How could you? Half the games weren't on TV, if you live outside of Chicago, you'd never see them on national TV. The owner did everything he could to drive us away. I'm a die-hard fan, but I'm no fool.

Just got a random package in the mail at work. Was pretty sure it wasn't a bomb, so I opened it. Wife had a Kane U.S.A. jersey t-shirt sent to me. Pretty sweet.

Nashville signed Rinne to an extension, which means they'll want to get something for soon-to-be FA Ellis. I don't want him, but I'm sure the rumors will be out there.

You take the good with the bad with Kane. You know he's going to give up possessions with a lack of effort on his own end, but when he gets you a hat-trick and basically wins you the game and the series, you forgive it.

damn, you missed the most intense parts. the last 3 minutes were out of control That 90 seconds or so when the canucks had them pinned in the zone just prior to the EN goal, I was 100% sure they were going to score. I might have to go back and watch that game again tonight.

Problem is, depending on when the games are, the secondary market for Cards tickets here is very soft. Unless it's a Cubs game or another attractive weekend game, there are so many tickets out there you can forget about getting anywhere close to face. -
